Taking a bowl of warm oil for a head massage, Nandini made her appearance at Meera's door but halted finding her head drowsy and dropping over her textbook while her mouth still mumble lazily the lesson she was studying.

Adoring her with a soft beam, Nandini quietly made her way inside to caress her head with affection.

Though she came by to have a conversation over the matter Manik wanted her to talk with, now that Meera is dozing, Nandini let the matter rest aside. She anyway doesn't mean to burden Meera with thoughts.

Nandini somehow knows and understands the age Meera is now having infatuation is common and usual but how will she make the brother inside her husband understand. Although she finds Krish suspicious, she doesn't want to jump to a conclusion.

Silently closing the book she turned to switch the study lamp off when her eyes came across the ghungroo Meera wears for the dance kept over the desk. For any non-dancer, it would take hard concentration or count to catch the missing bead of a bell from the ghungroo but Nandini being a proficient dancer took her hardly a second to catch the odd.

It was the ghungroo she gifted Meera the first time when she joined Nandini's roofless academy at the Chet Singh ghat of Banaras as her only student. But seeing the worn-out state of the ghungroo, Nandini without pondering over went on with switching off the light before silently leaving the room to go to hers.

As she reaches, a look of grime refuges over her face seeing the untidiness and the disarray her dear husband has created in the room by searching in the cupboard. Whereas for Manik, his movement immediate went to a hesitant halt as soon he felt his wife by the door clenching her jaw sternly.

"This is the nth time I am doing the cupboard and the nth time I am begging you to stop messing in there. I mean how difficult is that to understand?" doing the clothes and racking them inside for the third time of that day, Nandini huffed on Manik who brood around proudly in the room with a towel hung around his neck, ruffling his damp hair which he was ready to dump on the floor until Nandini warned threateningly "Dare you to drop that on the floor!"

Dithering upon his action, Manik blinked once and twice before swinging it back around his neck "Jeez, never knew my lady could be scary too."

Watching her straight poker annoyed face through the reflector of the cupboard's mirror, he simply leant by the desk, his muscle-flexing holding the hem of the towel while making a little pucker on his face, he stated unamused "With that dwarf height nobody can imagine you could throw this big dagger through your eyes. And that to your husband whom people think twice to talk with."

"Were you mocking me while complimenting your personality?" The smirk tugging on his lips answered her as she shake her head shutting the cupboard close before turning around with a tight-lipped smile "You and your narcissism. Something can never change."

Watching her move her way past him to the door, Manik reflexively wields his towel around her petite frame by yanking her abruptly toward him and ceasing her taking in surprise "Manik, wh-at?"

Tugging her some more, his warmth radiating and giving comfort to her dainty frame making her effort of escaping slowing down, he sighed aloud with a hum of contentment watching their reflection in the mirror "Do I trouble you very much?"

"Is that even a question?" She countered and replied with an elfin tug of a smile "You trouble me a lot more than my sweety does."

"Glad to hear that I could beat that little cracker over something." he snorted receiving an elbow from her which he hardly felt " What? I am serious? During your workshop, he literally went on yelling and announcing that you are his girlfriend to everyone in the university."
