CHAPTER 11 MEET NOOR

In the evening,
Somebody rings the bell. Aniruddh goes and opens the door.
A girl probably of age 15-16 was standing outside.
" O tussi kaun ho ji ?" She pouted her lips and furrowed her borrows in confusion.

"Kaun hein Barrister babu?" Bondita came out of the kitchen.
"Didi!" The girl pushed Aniruddh to a side and went to hug bondita.
"Noor!" Bondita too hugged the girl with excitement .
"Didi kaisi ho aap woh court mein aag lag gayi thi aapko zyada chit to nahin aayi?" she asked while checking bondita up and down.
"Mein thik hun dekho mujhe kuch nahin hua" bon tried to convince her.
"Shotti" she asked the same way Bondita used to ask.
"Shotti" said bondita too piching her throat and they both chuckled.
Aniruddh who was still confused,"Bondita ...."
"Aah mein toh pechaan karwana hin bhul gayi ye hein barrister babu. "
Aniruddh Roy Chowdhury ? Oh teri tusi Aniruddh Roy Chowdhury ho , peripauna jijaji " she exclaimed in happiness.
"Aap mujhe janti hein?" Ani showed confusion.
" Haan aap hain didi ke barrister Babu , shikshak babu rakshak babu aapke dost babu aur aapke pati babu, didi ne aapke baare mein sab bataya hein." she said it in one go.
Listening that bon has said about him he felt he is on cloud nine.
"Aur mein hoon noor aapse milke accha laga " she said snapping Ani out of his thoughts.
"Mujhe bhi ", Ani replied with a sweet smile.
"Barrister Babu ye Gurmeet kaka ki chhoti beti hein iski badi behen ki shaadi hein teen din baad " Bondita said.
"Oh! Apni behen ki shaadi ki bohut shubhkamnayein", Ani congratulated her.
"Aap sabko aana hein didi" "aur ye lijiye ye biji ne bheja hein aapke liye"
"Pinniya!" bon exclaimed in happiness. " Biji ko mera dhanyabad kehna"
"Barrister Babu Aapko pata hein noor apne vidyalaya mein awwal aati hein" bon said with a sense of pride in her face.
"Arey wah ! Konsi kaksha mein ho tum " , Ani asked.
"Daswi kaksha ".
"Aap log baatein kijiye mein ye pinniya ek dibbe mein nikalne khali dibba le ke aati hun" she left towards kitchen.
"Waise kya banna chahti ho jeevan mein aage kya karna chahti ho " Ani asked offering a seat to noor.
Noor sat in the chair opposite to Aniruddh." Dhaba mein papaji ka dhaba chalana chahti hun mere papaji ke bete nahin hein isliye pind walein kehte hein ki twada toh koi puttar nahin hein ab twada karobar ki dekhbal kaun karega ji?
She scoffed " In pindwalon ko lagta hein ki kudiyan kuch nahin kar sakti kyun munde kya heere jevrat leke paida hote hein issiliye mein padhna chahti hun aur mere papaji nu karobar mein madad karna chahti hun "
Aniruddh clapped," Bohut acche humare desh mein tum jaisi ladkiyon ki bohut zaroorat hein tumhare vichar ekdum uch hein mein tum se mila sirf usi baat pe mujhe tumpar garv hein "
"Garv karna hin hein toh mujhpe nahin apni patni pe kijiye unhone hin toh mujhe ye sab sikhaya hein par phir mein sochti hun ki aapko khud par garv hona chahiye kyunki didi ko bhi toh sab kuch aapne sikhaya hein "
And Aniruddh as usual humble " Bondita ke andar chaah hein maine toh sirf raah dikhayi hein " .
Noor put her hands on her heart and leaned back on her seat" Haaye mein maarijaavan ab mujhe pata chala ki di aap par kyun fida hein "
Aniruddh in a sad tone " Fidaa thi, mujhe jab apne pyar ka ehsaas hua tab tak bohut der ho chuki hein "
" Koi der wer nahin hui hein sab thik ho jaayega didi bas thodi gussa hein aapse teen saal unhone kaise akele kaate hein aur mujhe toh ab bhi unki aankhon mein aapke liye pyaar dikhta hein " she said in an encouraging tone.
"Sach?" Ani asked with a hope.
"Haan, aur nahin toh kya waise bhi inne sone munde nu koi mana kar sakta hein bhala? she said playfully.
Aniruddh blushed.
Till that time bondita came out of kitchen and handed the empty boxes to her. " Ye lo noor aur ghar pein sabko meri sasriyakal bolna ".
" Thik hein didi ab mein chalti hun . Phir milenge jijaji " She bade goodbye and went.
"Bohut hin pyari bacchi hein aur uske vichhar toh usse bhi zyada a che hein" Ani said as he sat on sofa.
"Bilkul" Bon too sat on the sofa.
"Usne kaha ki ye sab uss tumne sikhaya hai " Ani asked her.
And bon too as usual humble" Uske pass chaah hein maine toh bas raah dikhayi hein "
Ani remembered his own words and smiled feeling proud of how well he has taught bondita.
" Main toh bhul hin gayi biji ne pinniyan bheji hein mein chali khaane aur aapke liye bhi laati hun " She exclaimed and ran towards the kitchen.
Ani chuckled " Itni badi ho gayi hein par bachpana nahin gaya".
