Chapter 8: After A Long Day At Work

Chats POV:
I finally arrived at work. I got outta my car and went inside. I saw police everywhere I looked around and than I saw pike I walked over to him and he saw

"Chat?! It's a good thing your here the boss wanted to talk to everyone" he said

I nodded and pike and I walked up to his office I knocked on the door and he let us in.

" Lieutenant roger, you wanted to see us" I said

"Yes chat, pike I need to talk to him alone please wait outside and I'll come get you when I'm ready" he said

"Yes sir" pike said than left leaving me and roger

"We'll chat I know I told you that you could have a couple days off but this couldn't wait and for that I apologize" he said siting in his chair

"It's fine really sit" I said

"We'll chat you are the best police I have on the force so I need you to do this and you alone orders by the mayor" he said

I was curious I mean I know I was good at my job but I wouldn't consider me the best. But I shrugged it off and asked him.

"Of course sir anything" I said

"Well someone had been stealing jewels from the mayors and I know what your thinking. How can someone steal from the mayor his place is locked tighter than a military fort. And that is what I need you to find out"  he said

"So you want me to do this alone" I said

"Yes, I know this is sudden and I would do it if I could but I can't because other things are goin on in this town so I need you to do this for me" he said looking at his desk covered in papers

"No problem sir I'll look into it immediately" I said

"Excellent, here is all the papers you need to know about this investigation" he said standing up and handing me a stack

I took the papers and nodded at him I turned around but before I could leave he spoke

"Oh and could you send officer pike In when you leave please" he said

"Yes sir" and I left his office. Pike was just sitting down in a chair looking at his phone. I tapped his shoulder and he looked up at me.

"He wants to see you now" I said he nodded and headed in

I walked into my office turning on the light. I sighed tonight was going to be a long night. I walked over to the desk and sat down on my chair and began to work.

With Marinette

Mari POV:
I walked inside and I saw lots of people. I walked into Cindys office

"NO NO NO!! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE LAST WEDNESDAY!!!" Cindy shouted into her phone. I know that if I Disturbed her she would be even more angry so I decide to wait until she was done.

"YOU TELL HER IF THEY ARE NOT HERE BY TOMORROW AFTERNOON SHE CAN KISS HER JOB GOODBYE!!" And with that she hung up.

I cleared my throat letting her know I was her. She turned around and smiled

"Mare-bear!! It's so good to see you. Today were really busy so we can't have any screw up this week, I made you a list of everything you need to do it's in your office on your desk and when you get down with that go fine Sophia she will tell you what you need to do" she said

"Yes ma'am" I said as I walked out of her office I headed toward mine. Usually Cindy isn't this mad but things around here have been so Hectic with thanksgiving being right around the Conner.
