The next morning I woke up early and got done with everything I needed to in a flash. I grabbed the bag of cookies I had made the night before and made my way out the door before hurrying to the cafe, making sure to be there in time today.

By the time I arrived I realized I was just on time as I watched as Tim came in behind me.

"Good morning Tim!" I smiled at him.

"Morning Percy, how was your night?" He asked as we both made our way to the counter to order.

"Oh you know the usual, except I found a way to pay you back!" I extended the bag out to him and he gave me a questioning look as he took the bag.

"Cookies?" He had a small smile on his face.

"Not just regular cookies, my mothers patented blue cookies, you'll be sure to love them!" I paused "though of course she's not in Gotham so they're made by me, so they aren't the same but I sure tried my best!"

He chuckled before opening the bag to look inside. "Thanks Percy, I'm sure they're great"

We both ordered our drinks and as we waited Tim told me about the awful diner he'd had with his family. Apparently one of his brothers had gotten into a huge fight with their dad and it put a damper on the rest of the night. I tried to comfort him as much as I could before he had to leave, leaving me with a small smile and a wave as he exited the door.

After I received my coffee I also left, though I didn't know where too.

I ended up spending my day wandering around the city, anything that caught my attention is what I'd explore for a couple minutes before my attention was averted and I was brought to something else. Once I was finished I headed home and fell asleep.

——————(Earlier that day) Tim's POV:——————

I had to admit, I really enjoyed Percy's company. I mean she was super nice, could hold a decent conversation, and like black coffee! How was I not supposed to like her.

Not to mention it was so easy to talk to her. This morning I had slipped up about the fight Jason and Bruce had, had last night and she just comforted me instead of prying or trying to get information.

So when she came up to me this morning with a bag of cookies I couldn't help but feel excited to take them, which also makes the fate of those same cookies even worse.

When I had arrived home, quickly throwing away the empty coffee cup I had, I had set down the cookies on the counter for one second. ONE SECOND! But when I looked back all I found was a bunch of people munching on my confections.

"Mmm! Dude where'd you buy these things!" Jason asked as he tried searching the bag for a label.

"I will also admit these aren't half bad" the Demon added as he examined the blue cookie.

Dick was...well he was being Dick and was being really dramatic about it.

What surprised me the most was the fact that even Bruce had one! He also stared at the cookie as he walked away but that didn't mean that I missed the small glint in his eye.

I couldn't stop the small amount of anger that festered within me, as I hadn't even gotten the chance to have one and yet all these people who haven't even met Percy did! I decided not to yell about it and that instead I would just ask for another batch later, I'd even offer to pay at this rate. I mean hey, if the others liked them that much I'm sure I could bribe them with it.

I took this in full stride and ignored the others begs to know where I got the cookies as I walked out the kitchen, grabbing my phone and opening Percy's contact.

I stared at our last message and by that I mean the first text she had sent to herself through my phone. I decided a simple "hey" would suffice but I never got to pressing send as I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see it was Bruce who's hand was on my shoulder.

"Hello Tim, I have come to alert you that we will be having a party in a three days. Also I'd like to ask where you got those cookies from? I'd like to try and get them supplied for the party."

"Oh, it's not from a store, my friend made them for me but I'll see what I can do." I stated, secretly hoping this would give me more of a chance to talk to Percy and an opportunity to get one of these amazing blue cookies.

He nodded and stalked off towards his office.

I walked up stairs to my room, on the way I sent Percy the message and waited, not long after I received a text back .

P- Hey! What's up Tim?

I couldn't help but smile.

T- nothing much, my family loved your cookies, apparently they really are the best, so much so that they couldn't even leave me one.

P- I told you so! Now you'll have to get them at a different time.

P-tsk tsk Tim, I expected better from you.

I chuckled slightly.

T- yeah yeah, but do you think you could make oh I don't know like 40 more batches? In maybe two days?

T- of course you'll be paid! My father wants them for a huge party he's throwing in a couple days.

I awaited an answer as her text bubble popped up.

P-...
