"Are you both okay?" Adam's father asked, as he opened the door to the guest bedroom and asked that question within the atmosphere. Adam and i slowly emerged from the bedroom closet, as he hugged him instantly. "I should really go, i don't wanna put any of you in more danger already" i said, as Adam stopped me by lightly pulling my arm. "Don't" he said, after he let go of his father. "He's right, i meant what i said earlier, you can stay here as long as you need" she said, as i knew i couldn't accept the offer, but where else would i be able to go if i didn't?

His parents then gave me a change of clothes so i could finally get out this suit and into some normal clothes. I laid in the guest bedroom, as the darkness creeped into my thoughts, making the horrific memories of what happened these last few hours replay on a loop in my mind. I couldn't sleep to say the least, so Adam laid with me. He stroked my hair, "i know you think the idea of us fleeing to Earth is such a crazy thought, but i've been thinking about it a lot more lately, and the guardians wouldn't think twice about going, if we choose to hide there" i said, as Adam scoffed. "Adam i am serious, my parents died protecting me, i don't want your parents to have to go through that as well. Harboring a human is a crime! at least if we flee together, the guardians wouldn't know your parents were hiding you all these years and they wouldn't have to die." i said, as Adam exhaled.

"Eve, we've talked about this, Earth is inhabitable, what makes you think we would even be able to survive two seconds on that planet if our ancestors couldn't? and besides, i can't leave my parents. It's forbidden for aliens to leave there home planet. No one is going to find out they've been protecting me." he said, as i rolled my eyes, thank goodness he couldn't see that cause it was so dark in here. "Adam, they would them put to death, the guardians were here not too long ago, what makes you think they won't come back? your parents will be floated for there crimes. This seems like the only way to protect them." i said, as Adam looked at the ceiling.

"Earth's atmosphere is probably still toxic to aliens, if it is for them than it probably is for us as well." he said, "may i remind you, we aren't aliens?" i said, "it's not even a planet anymore, it's just a great big sewer, inhabitable, and toxic as can be, how would we be able to survive?" he asked, as i sighed. "I don't know, that was the only plan i could think of to keep you, me, and everyone else we love, safe. Cause the aliens would never go there" i said, as he craddled me.

"Let's just lay low for a little longer, and maybe.. if things do get more dangerous, then heading to Earth will be our last resort." he said, before i could say anything, he kissed my forehead and then left the room where i was staying in. I watched his shadow in the hall disappear within the darkness of the hallway, before looking at the ceiling. I then tried turning over to sleep, but as soon as i closed my eyes, the nightmare of my parents being killed in front of me, continued over and over.

I somehow slept in the next day, until i walked past Adam's room, to see he wasn't in there. After getting freshened up, i went down the hall, as a plate of breakfast was waiting for me on the table. "Morning! where's Adam?" i asked his mother, as i sat down at the table to eat. She just looked over at the barn out the kitchen window, "he goes there every morning, sometimes he would sleep in there. He didn't wanna wake you, he said you seemed so peaceful" she said, as i laughed, remembering how many nightmares i had last night. Apparently, that seemed peaceful to him.

Adam's father then walked in, as i could see him watching me eat my breakfast out the corner of my eye, Adam's mother than wacked him with a dish rag so he would stop. I then heard his whisper in another language to her, this was the moment where i wish i had my suit on to translate. But when i was on Neptune, coming to Jupiter was a big priority of mine. So i taught myself a few words here and there, all i could hear him say was: ".....prophecy...true....creep...out" which didn't make any sense what's so ever. "What are you two talking about?" i asked, hoping they would actually tell me in a language i could understand.

I just watched as Adam's mother stopped washing dishes, looked over at her husband, and then sighed before turning to look over at me. "It's a prophecy that was created several years ago, when the first alien was born, the mother who gave birth to the first born alien, was human. She had fallen in love with an alien, when she was on a mission as an astronaut. It was one day on a mission, that she landed on one of our planets in the solar system and discovered our existence. Not knowing they could reproduce though, they started studying our kind, and trapped a few of us in a confinement. Other humans were terrified of us, and assumed we were a threat, but the astronaut did not. She saw something in us that no one else could. And she fell in love with it.

But, the astronaut was soon banished from Earth because of her feelings towards one specific alien in particular. They wanted to live in harmony among the aliens, so they fled back to another planet, where they became married, and the astronaut became pregnant. She wrote in her diary on her death bed, that one day a human child would be born from an alien family. To restore the birth of Earth, that will become inhabitable and overpopulated for years. When the child was too be born, that would mean Earth was habitable again. Of course every planet needed balance, so when one human child was born, another was born as well." she said.

"Sort of like Romeo and Juliet, star crossed lovers" the father said, i was so stunned i had to stop eating, as i felt like i was digesting too much information and food at the same time. All these years, and my parents never told me this? "But of course, it's a myth, the story has been passed around and told so many times. Sometimes it's even been changed and exaggerated. But stories like these always start from some kind of truth, but no one really knows for sure." his mother said, as i thought for a moment. All this time i thought i was a mistake, an abomination, that i didn't belong or couldn't fit in wherever i go. But for once, i knew i was different from everyone else cause i have a purpose. Adam and i belonged somewhere else, and it wasn't here.

Home had never felt like home before, cause i have never been there. I remember staring at Earth, longing and yearning for it. That was because the people that came before me, lived and died there, and i intended to do the same. Without a word, i left the table and the cottage to find Adam. i didn't wanna waste anymore time on any other planet besides Earth, even if that was the last thing i would do.
