Fleur pulled up to the parking and sighed when she saw no paparazzi around. she knew it would be about her dating life and past relationships which she didn't want to talk about.
scarlett opened her phone to see photos quickly surfacing through the internet and she groaned. being followed by the paparazzi for your whole life isn't exactly the dream for her. when fleur removed her seatbelt scarlett raised a brow "well im not leaving you alone it's saturday and you don't have a car" she shut the door before scarlett could even say anything after she herself stepped out.
they exchanged no words but instead went into the office. fleur rubbed her eyes 'i'm too sleep deprived' she thought
when they made it too the floor, scarlett unlocked the door and as they went in fleur immediately plopped herself down the orange-brown couch sipping her coffee.
"so what speech are you doing" "something for a partner, dress for success" scarlett said from the other room grabbing her laptop
"i dont know what to say" scarlett said, probably to herself, "well.. what are you supposed to say" fleur flipped herself, now upside down on the couch
"well they gave me a speech but i needed to revise it to fit my wording, it'll just take a few minutes" "why couldn't you just do this in your house...?" fleur says rapidly clicking a pen
"because i don't get any work done with my daughter around" scarlett laughs "fair enough" fleur says with a laugh as well
"c'mon read the thingy they gave and i can help" "when there's a successful woman, there is usually a group of women who cheer her on..." "okay um for the first part you could rephrase it as... behind every successful woman is a community of other women...-"
"you're amazing" scarlett smiles as she stood up to the printer "what can i say except-" "you're welcome... rose makes me sing that all day!" "moana is amazing though, stan her for having good taste" fleur smiles standing up
"oh also we have a team dinner tomorrow" "you're telling me this just now?" fleur says "..maybe?" scarlett says in a small voice with a smile "i'll be there!" "good! hope you aren't a vegetarian" "I actually am" scarlett turns around with wide eyes "im kidding please, i eat meat too much i feel bad" she laughs
"my husband tried not to eat meat for a week.. didn't go so well" scarlett pushes the ground floor button on the elevator
husband? she's married?!
"you don't talk about your husband a-lot" "well like to separate my personal life and work" scarlett says walking out of the elevator and fleur following "gotcha" "but if you'd like you can get to know me more and ask questions, i wouldn't mind"
"when's your birthday" "november 22" "thats so far away!" "well what about you" "september 22" "hey we're both 22's!" scarlett smiles "so cool!!" fleur jumps in her seat before starting the car and scarlett looks at her with narrowed eyes "what?" fleur asks parallel parking "you said that exactly like florence"
"did i?" "you did" "do you want me to drop you off your house? i mean i know you separate work from personal" "um yeah sure" scarlett hesitated but gave the directions to her house "sooo.." "so.." "i dont know what to ask" fleur says honestly "how about i ask you questions?" scarlett shifts her body to face fleur "alright" she laughs "got any siblings?" "no ma'am.. you?" "a twin and 3 other siblings" scarlett smiles at the thought
"um are you um dating anyone?" "no.. though mentally 'm datin taylor queen swift" she says with a laugh "ah of course!" scarlett plays along as she turned back to face the road "and here we are"
"thank you" scarlett turns around before shutting the door "anytime, stay safe!" "you too!"
