I groaned when i finally unlocked my apartment door after having my hands full. with my left arm i had around 3 full bags with dog toys, treats, leashes, shampoo and even had a doggie blow dryer. I also had a tiny fluffy bean bag in between my left pit. My right arm was more of a variety. I had weenie on a leash that was around my wrist, i had my fruits that i got before the store (trust me, if i knew it was this much i wouldn't have gotten these fruits today), my hand bag just slinging on my arm, a macchiato i was holding and my key i so desperately wanted to shove into the key holes ass.
i let weenie go around as i laid down on the floor, shutting the door with my foot. i laid down for awhile until weenie came and licked my face and i laughed sitting up as weenie laid down on my lap after a few ear rubs.
i looked at the bags and sighed. maybe it wasn't the best idea to get a dog now. i dont think i was really thinking when i got weenie, it was kind of like an impulse decision. I somehow felt lonely. with not being able to talk to my bestfriend, florence being all the way in LA for us to hang, scarlett having her own problems to deal with, keira just stopping over once a week, me not daring to reach out to any of my other friends... i felt alone.
"im going to try my best to take care of you" i whispered to weenie who i lifted up smiling. "c'mon!" i crawled to the bags and put everything out before sanitizing them.
its not like i was a noob on how to take care of a dog, olivia has a dog but i just saw bits and pieces. i rubbed my head in frustration about building up a tiny shelf i got for all of these things.
it was pitch dark out when i was done with most of the dog things. i smiled at weenie who just sat beside me, wagging their tail until my phone vibrated. i picked it up, curious who could be calling.

at 8pm? is she okay? i immediately answered putting the phone to my ear
"scarly? hello? are you okay?" i said slightly panicked "helooo" i heard a giggle from the other side, rose. "rosey hey! whats up? is your mama okay" "umm" she said until she went silent and i heard some ruffling "rose?" I asked "she's okay, i think she's cooking but i- i saw you're texts on the counter and called you.. sorry" she mumbled
on the counted? after 4 fours?
"tell your mom i sorry i havent responded, i've been building things for my new dog! do you want to see rose?" "yes!!" she i could hear her jump and i laughed turning on the video option
"hello!" "hello pretty" i said as she blushed i turned the camera the other way to show weenie who sniffed the camera "what's her name?!" rose said with wide eyes "weenie!" "i love her!" she jumped with the phone in her hand as i laughed turning the camera back to me "rose who is that?" I heard another raspy voice and rose quickly turned her head "fleury!" i heard a silence and then foot steps approaching
"hello fleury" "hello scarly" i smiled seeing her. "fleury when can you come over againnnn" rose asked with puppy eyes "darling, fleury was just here, remember?" "but that was hours ago" rose said making us laugh "i'll try to stop by and let you know" i smiled at the little blonde "alright, as much as i hate to break this staring contest.. im sweaty and i need to take a shower with weenie" "with weenie..?" scarlett raised a brow "yes! okay bye, have fun with your dinner!" i waved "bye fleury!" "bye fleury" i heard the two blondes before i ended the call making my way to the shower with weenie in my arm.
