Nancy was driving towards the school while Adira was in the passenger seat and Eddie and Robin both sat in the backseat. Adira suddenly felt her heartbeat quicken and felt nauseous, like she was going to throw up. "Something is wrong," Adira choked out, her whole body going cold

Her right hand reached out quickly and gripped the door handle whilst her left and went forwards and pressed against the dash," fuck, something really isn't right," she groaned out

Robin and Eddie quickly leaned forwards, concern on each of their faces. They reached out and grabbed onto Adira softly, panic erupting in both of them as they watched her, they wanted to help her but they didn't know what they could do.

They both began to talk over each other as they tried to check on the poor girl who had began sweating and freaking out randomly in the front seat. Adira gripped her head in pain as images of a grandfather clock began to flash through her mind

"What's wrong, are you okay?" Robin quickly asked her, her breathing had picked up and she was basically crying at the sight of Adira being in pain

"Hey, what's happening?" Eddie also asked her, "please Adira talk to me, tell me what I can do to help!" He was freaking out, gripping is hair in worry

"Adira talk to us," Robin exclaimed, tugging the girls shirt softly, "please, you're really starting to scare me."

"Do you need me to pull over," Nancy asked her best friend in concern as her eyes flicked between the road and Adira who was clutching her stomach

"Max..." she heard a male, groggy voice ring through her head and then flashes of Maxine in the school shot through her mind

"Nancy you need to go faster, something is wrong with max," Adira choked out quickly, looking out the front of the car. All that could be seen was the road and the trees next to the road, flying past as they went over the speed limit

"Wait what, how do you know that?" Nancy asked in confusion, ignoring her demand, she was more concerned about Adira right now, and she wasn't sure that Adira was thinking very straight

"Nancy drive faster please something is wrong with max!" Adira exclaimed and smashed her hands down on the dash. Nancy jumped a little before nodding her head and quickly speeding up, "we need to get to the school and save her."

"Shit Adira you're heating up, what the hell is happening right now?" Eddie asked her as he placed his palm against her for head in worry. He brushed the hair off her face and kept his cold hand on her hot forehead, trying to cool her down

"I don't know," she explained and looked out of the front of the car anxiously. Suddenly the loud sound of ticking was rumbling through Adira's mind and for a few moments she saw Max running through Hawkins high before the sound and images all stopped and disappeared from her mind

"Holy shit Adira, your nose is starting to bleed," Robin muttered out. Adira brought her hand to her face and wiped under her nose. She brought her hand down slightly to examine it, and sure enough, there was a crimson liquid contrasting violently against her pale skin

"Yeah that happens sometimes, it's nothing to worry about, I went to the doctors for it when k was a kid and they said there was nothing wrong," Adira muttered out, she began to cool down and her breathing had went back to normal

They finally made it to the school, they didn't waste anytime before quickly running inside. Adira didn't wait for Nancy, Eddie and Robin, all of whom were a lot slower than her, instead she ran through the halls, looking for Max. She finally found her, along with Steve and Dustin who were both standing either side of her as she tried to calm herself down, she was covered in sweat and was breathing heavily, a terrified look on her face
