When we reached the police station I was taken in for questioning. They asked where I was that morning, or if I'd seen her at all.

I said no to everything. I couldn't form a verbal answer, but they were okay with that. After that, I was put into foster care. Everyone there was nice and welcoming, it was a calm and safe environment, but nothing felt better and safer than back at home when mom was there.

---

A week passed, and I was in my room looking at pictures of mom on my phone while wiping away a few tears. It was already so hard without her.

Then I got a knock on my door. I wonder who it could be. It was probably Aster, a kid who has been bringing me breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I turned my phone off and wiped away a few more tears before allowing them to come in.

"Hey, Katsuki."

"H-hi Anna.."

"So I just wanted to chat with you about your mothers will,"

"Mhm.."

"So everything that was in her name, goes to you. Her money, the house, the car, her business in America-"

"Wait, business in America??"

Anna looked at me confused. I was also confused, mom never told me about a business in America.

"She didn't tell you? She owns a very successful Graphic design business in America."

"No, she never told me.."

"Oh, sorry. Well you have a bank account that's locked until your 18, it has 5.2 billion yen in it."

"WHAT?!"

"Like I said, it was very successful, also that's only 1/3rd of the money."

"Yeah, anyway, when can I plan her funeral?"

"Well you could do it now, and it would likely take more than 2 weeks, or you could wait a few days, and it'd be ready almost immediately."

"I'll wait a few days.."

"Good choice, well I have to go, call me if you need me, bye Katsuki!"

I waved her goodbye as she left, then laid down and thought about all of the good times me and mom had. She was so nice and loving, it felt like it was impossible to have a mother so messed up, but the most loving person on the planet.

I felt the tears roll down my face as I continued to think about her. The before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

I don't know much about funerals so let's just skip to the aftermath..

The funeral was now and Anna said her goodbyes before going to wait out by the car. Soon enough I was alone. I don't even know if this funeral is real, or if everyone actually left. I haven't taken a pill since moms death.

I let out a loud sob as I stare at her lifeless body. I still can't believe she's gone. She was so young and beautiful it's still hard to believe her beauty was real.

I felt my knees give out as I could barely stand anymore, but before I could fall I felt someone lift me. I looked up and saw Izuku.

"Hey, Kat.."

I got so angry at him because he was MIA (missing in action) since the day mom died. He didn't even call me or anything, and he as late to the funeral!

"Where were you?!" I said angrily as I hugged him back. He let out a sigh before looking at moms dead body, completely ignoring my question.

"Hello?? Are you gonna answe-"

"Kat I came to say goodbye."

"W-what?"

Izuku sighed before taking off his bracelet, giving it to me. He wore that bracelet on the day we met and never took it off, I'm guessing it was a gift or something, but that's not the point.

Izukus leaving?! Why?!

"I'm not real."

HUH?!!

"B-but- no! Your real Izu, stop playing!"

"No Kat, let me explain. This is your schizophrenia playing tricks on you. I died, remember?"

DIED?! But Izukus always been with me since childhood he said it himself, there's no way that he's not real, he has to be.

"I- Izuku your real.. I know your real, p-please stop.."

"Kat please, I died at the age of 5 due to a villain, your mind wouldn't accept it, and continued to see me. You've had schizophrenia since you were 5. It was so strong that pills couldn't help it.

He can't be serious.. I don't even have memory of even talking to him until the first day of UA. He was made up, I've never had any childhood friends, so how could he be my friend? It doesn't make any sense..

"B-but, you can't go. I-I love you! I've always loved you!"

"I'm sorry Kat, but my time has ended. I love you too, I always have. I'll be back soon."

Izuku gives me his bracelet and a kiss on the forehead before he disappeared. I was left there alone. I had no one left, my father had two life sentences, and due to mom breaking 'family tradition' by getting pregnant at an age under 25, her parents disowned her and cut her off from the entire family.

The love of my life left me, my mom left me, my dad left me. I have no one.

As I walked out, I saw Anna waiting for me. She had a look of pity on her face, and our eyes met. She held out her arms, and I ran to her and hugged her. She wrapped her arms around me in a tight embrace and comforted me as I sobbed.

And before I knew it, I was asleep. When I woke up, I was in my bedroom, at the orphanage. The next day, I was given an unexpected call.

It was Inko Midoriya, Izukus mother. She offered to take me in, and take control of moms business until I was physically, mentally, and emotionally stable to. I didn't even know who she was at first, after all I hadn't talked to her since I was 5.

Of course I accepted, she was the only one I had left, and she wanted me.
