"Do you know anyone from the other academy?" I ask both Daisy and Maya

"Not really, but from what I know no one from here likes them" Daisy says while shoving a piece of food in her mouth.

"Where did you even get that?" I ask, looking at Maya who was giving me the exact same look of concern and confusion.

"My pocket"

"Of course you did" I say under my breath

"Are you nervous at all?" Maya asks us

"Kind of, I'm excited" Daisy says

"I just haven't seen how good the other academy are at fighting, hopefully beatable" I say

"Yeah just pray you don't get chosen first, I've heard lots of things about that orb. It's scary." Maya responds

"Weird, I've never even heard of this tournament before" I say

"Its pretty well known, everyone takes part at least one time in their life or you won't even make it through school" Daisy says "The whole thing works kind of like a stimulation"

Of course my dad never told me about anything.Typical.

"Its basically an arena that can turn into anything the first person chosen wants. A dessert, a jungle, a cave" Maya adds

"If you get chosen first, any ideas on what you would pick?" Daisy asks us both

"Something memorable" I say

"Ooh I would so pick Disney Land or something!" Daisy eyes lit up as if it was the best plan ever

"Or not" Maya says

"Imagine fighting a lunatic....in Disney Land" she stays silent as if waiting for us to answer.

We just stared at her with widened eyes.

"It would be epic" she says

"I feel sorry for whoever has to go against you, Daisy" Maya rolls here eyes

"Do we ever go against each other?" I ask "If it comes down to it?"

"No I don't think so, only against the other school" Maya says

We followed the rest of the students down and out of the hall.

The first thing I did when we got out was call Claire and the others.

When Claire reassured me that they had all left and they had to go down to the hall too, I felt a little more relaxed.

Looks like all age groups are taking part. Obviously.

I tried to convince myself that everything was fine, that everything was normal. I didn't have anything to worry about and neither did any of my siblings.

I knew that was far from the truth but it brought me comfort even just convincing myself that a lie is the truth.

We'll look into it again after this tournament.

Definitely.

Everyone is busy with the preparations anyway.

I didn't sleep at all that night.
