Third Person Point of View

Four thousand years have passed since the Great Tenma War. Rimuru, having exhausted all forms of entertainment, including creating worlds inspired by his favorite manga and novels—such as Naruto, Misfit in Demon Academy, and Umineko—finds himself engulfed in boredom.

He has no need to concern himself with the affairs of his country; a year in the cardinal world is equivalent to 10,000 years in the other worlds, thanks to the existence of multiple entities capable of controlling time, including some of his subordinates.

Now, Rimuru contemplates visiting a parallel world. It mirrors the cardinal world but with slight variations, where he exists as a different being. He ponders whether to choose the world of Veldanava's daughter, the True Dragon Rimuru, or the female Demon Lord Rimuru. Will the fate of that world be better or worse? The decision rests with Rimuru, for he is the one who even made Azathoth a part of his dream.

Rimuru's Point of View

I'm bored; there's nothing left for me to do, not even paperwork. I've even created pseudo-manas to handle it. If only Gobta and the others were alive, they could alleviate this tedium. Well, I could revive him unless he's been sent to the Promised Land where the original God resides.

Veldanava is merely a will that regained his memory. I, too, am one of his wills—an independent will that did not inherit his memory from the beginning. Or perhaps, I am partially him or his true reincarnation.

I can still communicate with Gobta, though. He's enjoying himself there. The lucky bastard! Tsk. That's all because that God took a liking to him.

Hey, Ciel! Have you located the most entertaining world as I requested? <Rimuru

<Yes! Do you wish to know the details?> Ciel

Of course not; it would spoil the fun! Also, have you figured out how to bring back Gobta here? <Rimuru

<I can do that, but the world is different. We need the full will of that unknown God! Maybe we can persuade him (Gobta). Milim would never train him!> Ciel

Well, it's not a problem; he'll return after about four years or so, once he gets bored, I suppose. Anyway, tell me, which timeline are we going to? <Rimuru

<How about going back to a time when Veldanava was still alive?> Ciel

That's a good idea. So, we're going to the world where I was female, right? <Rimuru

<Correct. You've become quite astute, haven't you!> Ciel

That's rude, Ciel. Anyway, I'm going to inform everyone. Also, Ciel, is it possible to bring Diablo to that world? It would be dull without him. <Rimuru

<Yes, it's possible. However, the Diablo in the other world could pose a problem. You can alter his soul's nature, identity, memory to something different. Once you're finished with the world, you can revert him to normal.> Ciel

I'm not very fond of that idea. Okay, I'm going to inform everyone. After all, it's just a copy of the world this unknown Veldanava created. It's better than the dreams I make... <Rimuru

Third Person Point of View Time skip.

"Everyone, I am journeying to another world. Diablo will accompany me," Rimuru announced.

"What? Why don't you take me—" Shion began.

"Kufufu! I am honored to come with you, my lord," Diablo interjected.

"Very well, I am departing now. I will only return after a thousand years, so consider it permanent. Though, I'll visit for ten years each time. It's not long, considering our lifespan. Take care of Tempest in my absence," Rimuru said.

"Our lord, please stay safe," everyone responded.

'Well, it's not as if anyone can harm us now, not even if there were thousands of Feldway or Ivaraj, even with my clone body,' Rimuru thought as he created a parallel existence.

'Ciel, initiate the transfer!' Rimuru commanded.

'As you wish, master,' Ciel replied.

One... Two... Three... Go!
