Taking his friend's advice, Liam enters the house, holding a few bags filled with groceries. Reaching the kitchen, he places the bag on the countertop and smiles at Martha.

“Have you seen Diamond?” Liam asks, putting down the final bag.

“She just arrived, dear. She went upstairs to her room I’m sure."

Liam turns his head towards the staircase and looks back at Martha.

“Oh, okay. Thanks, Martha.”

Liam leaves the kitchen and ascends the stairs to Diamond’s room. As he was about to knock, the door opened widely, and Diamond stepped out, not really looking at where she was going. Liam wasn’t quick enough to step back, causing Diamond to harshly bump into his chest harshly.

“Oh, sorry!” Diamond exclaims, feeling the impact of hitting Liam on his chest.

“Are you okay?” Liam asks, looking down at his wife.

“Yeah.” She mumbles, lifting her eyes to meet her husband’s.

Liam wasn’t looking at Diamond. He was looking right above her eyes.

“Your hair…” he trails off, his mouth slightly open.

Diamond lowers her eyes, embarrassed. “Yeah well, it was time for something new.”

Neatly plaited on Diamond’s head was a new fresh set of faux locs. The locs ran down to her mid back with the ends in curls. Multiple gold beads were decorated nicely in her hair, beautifying the hairstyle even more.

The way Liam was looking at her hair made Diamond feel incredibly flustered. She felt her body heating up and became suddenly aware of the close proximity she was standing with Liam.

“Your hair looks amazing, Diamond. It suits you.” Liam finally compliments after composing himself.

“Thank you.” Diamond responds, scratching the back of her hand.

It was now Liam’s turn to realize how close he was standing to Diamond. Suddenly embarrassed, he takes a step and mutters a soft apology.

“Are you doing anything right now?”

Diamond shakes her head. “No. Why?”

“Do you maybe want to go out for a walk with me?” He asks, not meeting his eyes.

Diamond contemplates the question for a while before nodding. “Sure.”

Liam smiles. “Okay, we can leave when you’re ready.”

“Looks like I’m ready,” Diamond says, chuckling.

The peaceful walk turned loud because of the couple’s laughter. The two had decided to tell each other their most embarrassing stories, and Liam was currently dying.

“You fell out of the ghostly ride because you were screaming.” He repeats laughing.

“What? It was scary.” Diamond shrugs.

“Remind me to never take you to haunted houses.”

Diamond looks offended. “It happened when I was twelve! I can handle a haunted house now.”

“Still not taking you.” He continues before stopping in his tracks.

Liam looks over to Diamond with an anonymous smile on his face.

“What?” Diamond questions, not trusting the expression Liam was giving him.

“On second thoughts, we are going to a haunted house.”
