In that case, he really had to do as Grandfather said and work hard to ‘make’ a baby.
Lisa savoured the way her fiancé was holding onto her hand tightly. She felt sweetness bubbling up in her heart.
“It’s good to have the wedding earlier.” Jeon Hong also expressed his opinion. “Jungkook has always been independent. He can make the decisions for his own matters.”
“Son, go ahead as you plan. Mom doesn’t have any objections.” Ye Zhiyun took in her outstanding son, Jungkook. She was pleased with him no matter how she looked at him.
She had always followed her son’s decisions and never had to worry about him.
“In that case, the wedding is decided.” Bai Hong stood up and bowed towards Jeon Chongshan. “Father, my office is busy. I’ll take my leave first.”
“Father, I’ll head back with Jeon Hong.” Ye Zhiyun also stood up.
The couple had their own villa in the outskirts of the city and rarely stayed here.
“Jungkook, take good care of your fiancée.” Jeon Hong’s words were an acknowledgement of Lisa’s status as his daughter-in-law.
Jungkook nodded. Lisa rushed to stand up. “Uncle, Auntie, please take care.”
Nancy had admired Jungkook since she was young. However, Jungkook had always been engaged to Lisa. To think that the man she had loved since her childhood was soon to be married!
Yet, she still did not dare to express her hidden feelings.
She clenched her fists tightly, digging her nails into her skin. Her pale complexion was obvious but within seconds, she mustered up a smile. “In that case, you have my congratulations, Cousin, Miss Lee.”
“You won’t even address me as your cousin-in-law. Do you have any opinions against me?” Lisa asked lightly.
“How could that be?” Nancy responded appropriately. “You haven’t married into the family, have you? Once you do, I’ll naturally address you as Cousin-in-law. Earlier, you also addressed Cousin’s parents as ‘Uncle’ and ‘Auntie’. You couldn’t possibly address them as ‘Father’ and ‘Mother’ this early on, could you?”
This cheap cousin of his was a busybody. Jungkook frowned unhappily.
Jeon Hong paused by the entrance of the living room. “If Lisa is willing to address me as ‘Father’, I will naturally be happy to accept it.”
Ye Yunzhi followed after her husband and turned towards the dining room and said, “Likewise.”
Lisa did not expect Jungkook’s parents to help her. She really felt the urge to address them as ‘Father’ and ‘Mother’ right now.
However, it was true that she had yet to marry into the family. It would be too embarrassing to jump the gun right now. If news of this spread, she would definitely turn into a laughing stock.
Two weeks would pass by in a flash. Thus, she turned to the couple sincerely. “Thank you.”
Jeon Hong and his wife nodded and left.
The maids wiped the table clean and brought a tray forward. There were three red packets on the tray.
Jeon Chongshan handed the three red packets to Lisa. “This is the gift your future parents-in-law as well as myself have prepared for you for our first meeting. They’re busy and instructed me to hand this to you on their behalf. Jungkook isn’t lacking in any wealth, hence we didn’t go overboard on the gift. Don’t mind it if it’s too little.”
“I won’t. Thank you, Grandfather.” Lisa stood up and received it politely.
She held the red packets in her hands. They were all very thin.
Nancy was especially jealous. The Jeon family’s elders were very generous. Perhaps, she could attempt to switch the red packets before Lisa opened them.
This matter was an extremely simple feat for her.
“Come, Lisa. Follow Grandfather to my study room. I wish to speak to you.” Jeon Chongshan stood up.
Lisa obediently followed after him but realised that Jungkook was still holding onto her hand.
Jeon Chongshan similarly noticed his grandson’s behaviour. He spoke with a cold expression. “I’ll borrow my granddaughter-in-law for only a moment.”
