Thus, Lisa smiled lightly. It was not suitable for her to say more about this. "Grandfather Brushweiler, I promise you I will never harm an innocent person. I'm only telling you this much because I hope for you to remain alive. I hope that you will consider my good intentions and keep my abilities, as well as the conversation we had today, a secret."
She was keeping her own abilities hidden so as to eventually use them against Nancy's hypnosis.
"Don't worry. Grandfather Brushweiler won't tell anyone." Jingyuan guaranteed.
"Grandfather Brushweiler, you have to remain healthy and well."
"I, Jingyuan Brushweiler, am not weak. Since I'm now on my guard, no one will be able to harm me." Jingyuan stood up. "A lot of the guests present today are my old friends. I'll go greet them."
She nodded lightly.
A moment later, Jungkook stepped into the living room. He sat down by her side. "What did you and Director Brushweiler talk about?"
"It's nothing much. I just reminded him to be wary of Nancy." She smiled.
"Nancy is indeed the type of woman who would even target her own family for money," Jungkook commented expressionlessly.
Lisa glanced at him in surprise. "You understand her so well?"
"I'm just relying on my intuition." Jungkook lifted her into a princess carry and headed to the main bedroom on the third floor.
Upon reaching the room, he placed her down on the bed.
He sat by the bedside and took in her stunning appearance. He murmured lovingly. "Lisa, finally, the entire world knows that you're my wife!"
The next day, Lisa only awoke in the afternoon. She opened her eyes to see Jungkook laying by her side.
He watched her fixatedly and lovingly. From his gaze, it was as though he could have enough of her. "You're awake?"
She glanced at the clock on the wall. "It's afternoon. Why did you remain in bed with me till this time?"
"It's the day after our wedding. It's fine to laze in bed today." He embraced her soft and slender body and pressed a deep kiss against her lips. "I couldn't bear to leave you and this bed."
"Haha." She was overjoyed at his words. She lifted her hands and rubbed his cold cheeks. "I can't bear to leave you either."
"The butler will send someone up with food later. Let's not leave the room today."
"Really?" She lifted her brows. "What are we going to do here?"
"What do you think?"
In the end, they really had their meals in the room. Afterwards, they enjoyed a comfortable hot bath before returning to bed.
Lisa checked her phone and saw that Tzuyu had sent her a photo on WeChat this morning. She tapped on it and saw that it was actually a photo of Tzuyu and Fang Shaohua's marriage certificate!
Lisa embraced Jungkook in agitation and kissed his cheek with a loud smacking noise.
Jungkook lifted his brows. "Why are you so happy?"
