A Garden Grows Above

12 1 2

I wave good bye;

just a silhouette

projected on a fog

as you open the

the feathered gate

to everywhere and nowhere:

Disperse.

Grass grows through

the grey grates of bones.

Shiver.

It's no longer breath

coursing through, but a

gentle gale of the universe

heaving a mourning sigh;

a horizon of dark warmth.

I disappear into the darkness, waving

frail fingers, unable to caress or console;

breath after breath planted in the sky.

The universe expands allowing

for one more star.

As I look up,

growing brighter

there you are.
