Cain grumbled and slowly wakes up "hm?" he stared at his injured red eyed brother
"Let's visit mother!" Cale said grinning
Cain looked at him up and down before saying "it's late and you're injured"
"hmph, well it's not like the sun will just rise up here in dark fall! and I am feeling o.k!"
Cain looked at him confused "Sun? what is a sun??"
"ah, well, I read it from a book the a sun is something that lights up the surroundings and it also gives the surroundings energy and for them to live!"
"ah, I see, you are so smart brother Cale"
"ehh, I just read it on a book! that's why. Anyways let's go!" Cale said grinning enthusiastically getting off the bed.
Cale stumbled a little as he stood, Cain followed him and noticed that
"brother, do you want me to carry you?"
"really?? ah! but you will tire yourself out"
"I don't mind"
"if your so sure.... then ok!" Cale grinned before hoping towards Cain's back
"oomph!" Cain stumbled a little because of the sudden weight but regained his balance easily and walked out of the room with Cale in his back
No sounds were heard as Cain walks through the hallways looking for their 'mother', his footsteps were so soft that you can barely hear them, it was so quiet that they could only hear their own breathings.
Cain stopped to a door and then knocked on it before opening the door and entering
"greetings mother" Cain said upon entering
"Hello! mom!" Cale said grinning at the back of Cain
Their 'mother' glanced at them before giving them a cold look "what? don't you know that you are supposed to wait for a response before coming in?"
Cain opened his mouth to apologize but Cale cuts him off "yes yes, we apologize but we just really wanted to see you!"
"... tsk, you have no manners at all" their so called mother said with irritation
Cale hummed before getting off Cain's back "mother how are you doing??"
"I am doing well and could you stop calling me mother? it is annoying... I'm a man too...."
"ehh, but father told us that you are the mother, soo~ if not mother what should we call you then, Leon?" Cale said, his words sounded taunting but in reality he was just curious, it wasn't his intention to make it sound taunting.
"you disrespectful brat" Leon said with disdain
"your father really never taught you any manners at all, huh? pfft, as expected like father like son" Leon said with a mocking smile
Cale twitched a little hearing his statement, he doesn't want to be compared to 'them', no, he is not like them is what he wanted to believe. but he couldn't help it, his expression darkens looking at Leon with his red eyes.

Leon saw this and his eyes narrowed, he couldn't help but be reminded of them, not with those similar red eyes as them. "w-what? who do you think you are glaring at me!?" Leon yelled
Cain spoke up "I apologize for our actions, it was really rude of us."
Cale snapped out and looked down in shame, "sorry mother."
"..." Leon looked away from them
They all sat in awkward silence before Cale decided to broke it
"Mother may I hug you??" Cale said smiling, Cain looked at him in confusion as if saying 'what are you doing?'
"no, don't even touch me or come near me, you filth"
"hm.. ok then, next time??" Cale said smiling with hope in his eyes, Cain just stared at his brother with his indifferent face, but he knows that his brother knows that there is no way that Leon will ever acknowledge Cale.
"..." Leon kept silent not answering him
"ok!" Cale said as if taking his silence as a yes.
"Cain lets head back now before we get caught??" Cale said to Cain who just nodded at his statement.
Cain carried Cale to his back again and walked out of Leon's room and went back to Mephisto's examination room where they last stayed.
Leon watched as they left the room and then lets out a shaky sigh. he may have wanted to care for them but his hatred for what happened overpowers his desire to take care of them.
Sure, Leon may have gotten his line of deal, he is able to live similarly to the way before when he still have his powers but it is never the same. No, It will never be the same.
Leon stared out of his window watching the darkened sky. One word and one name just came out of his mouth, someone he longed for and someone who he misses dearly.
