MOM'S BIRTHDAY

Third pov

It is a Sunday. James and Catherine were at home. He asked Catherine for any help at home, but she said no. Catherine was busy with her office job. She focused on the laptop and took biscuits often. Her concentrating style is amazing. James was mesmerized by her beauty. He stared at her for a long time. But she didn't even glance at him.
"Cat, if you want any help, you can ask me," he said. It was new for him to say. Moreover, it was new for her to have him around her. But Catherine was not aware of this. She was busy with her work. It seems like Catherine forgot about him and his presence.

At evening.

"Cat, aren't you ready?" he asked. He has to be there before the party starts.
Catherine came downstairs in a red dress. She walked like a model. James was stunned at the sight in front of him. Is she his wife? he doubted. Catherine shook him to wake him up from his imagination. Her beauty took his breath.

"Are you going, or should I take my car?" She asked harshly. She stopped playing the nice card with the cheater. She stopped being his very understanding wife. Now she is bold. She will respect you if you respect her.

"We can go together," he said, opening the driver's seat. She closed the door of the mansion, opened the side seat, and sat there.

During the drive, he made some conversation, but she answered every question with a word or two.

At party.

They reached there before the guests.
"Happy birthday, mom," James said to his mom. She was too happy to see her son.
"Happy birthday," Catherine wished her mother-in-law. She hugged Catherine.
"How are you, cat?" She asked Catherine.
"I am fine," she replied, holding the hand.

Susan came there. She was not so happy with James. She has doubts about her brother and his new behavior. But I didn't show it to my face.

"It is time," James's dad announced.

There are many guests at the party. Catherine was speaking with the guests. James also joined her. He can't understand why, but he was attracted to her. Her new look caught his heart. They walked like an ideal couple. Everyone in the party looked at this match. The businessman and his stunning wife.

Then a guest came to the party without an invitation. It was Elena. The first sight was not a pleasant one for her. She looked at Catherine and James. Her face was filled with jealousy. She stared at him.
He was happy with Catherine. He walks with her and talks while laughing at something. His hand was touching her body. If she moves away, he follows her there. Elena knows that he can go back to her at any moment. She should take action quickly, Elena thought. Her mind was racing crazily.

Finally, his eyes stuck on Elena. His first expression was not happy. He was feared at first. Then he was mad. James walked toward her. She waited for him at the same spot.

" Elena I told you not to come here. Then why are you here?" He was really angry but maintained a neutral face.
"I want to tell you something," she said.
"Whatever it is, it can wait, James maintained a low voice. Elena can see his disdain in his face.
"But James," Elena said, wanting to keep him with her. If anyone finds this here, it will benefit her.
"Are you here to cause any problems?" His tone was rising.
"Jamie," Elena started, but.
But their conversation was broken by Catherine. She smiled at Elena.
"Hi Elena. I never thought you would come, she said to her'old friend'. Catherine found it was Elena, his mistress. Wad had sent the romantic moments of Elena and James. She understood everything yesterday. The conversation in the mall. All makes sense now. The private detective found all the details and evidence.

"How can I not?" she said with her eyes on James.
"You want to see mom, right?" Come, Catherine pulled Elena with her hand. James heartbeat can be heard from a distance.

He talked with guests, but his eyes were on Elena. After a while, he pulled Elena into a room.
"Leave now, Elena," James said. but she touched his face.
"It is not time," he said, but his body reaction was different. He was attracted to Catherine's beautiful figure, but he couldn't do anything for her. The person who is available for him is Elena. She pulled his face toward her. Their lips met. The heat spread to their bodies. He forgot what was happening there and started attacking her mouth. There is pleasure in this hide-and-seek game, and he is enjoying it.
She stood up with a naughty expression and fell on his chest.

There was a witness to their secret affair. It was his own sister. She came to call James but was welcomed by an unwanted scene. 

Susan was on the opposite side. She saw all these scenes with her own eyes. That was unexpected. She was suspicious about James. He was hiding something, but she never thought he would take things this far. Here, his wife is a wall away from him. Susan didn't stop them. She took some photos of them and walked away from them.

"Where were you?" Catherine asked Susan. . 
"Nowhere," she said, dropping the topic. She was sad about Catherine. She didn't deserve this. Catherine loves him too much.

Catherine stood by James's side. He was introducing his daughter-in-law to others. James also joined them.

Elena stood far away. She wanted to be at Catherine's place. She got James, but they can be together only in shadows. Their relationship is a secret. On the other hand, Catherine is out in public. She can be his in everyone's eyes. She gets all the rights.

Elena couldn't withstand it. She barged at them.
"Hi cat," she said to Catherine.
"I haven't seen you here. Where were you?" Catherine was not as loving as she was in the mall.
"I went to the washroom." Elena made an excuse. James was stressed at the time.
"I will be back, cat." James is not able to stand together with Catherine and Elena. So he started to move to the other side.
"Cast careful. Don't let him go alone. James is handsome. Girls will steal him," Elena warned Cat. Elena and James gave a knowing look, while Catherine was also aware of their relationship.

"Are there such cheap girls here, Elena, who will go after married men?" Catherine asked with an innocent face. Elena's expression changed. Susan held her laughter. But Catherine didn't stop there.
"I am sure James will not go to such a low level, right?" she asked. Her eyes were fire, which can burn you alive. He felt the heat. For a few minutes, he was struck.
" No."" His voice is low, like he is not aware of what you are saying.
"If you are leaving, then please," Catherine said. Catherine showed who has the power here.

Elena was not going to leave, but she was forced to. Her eyes automatically went to James. He was going to follow her, but Catherine held his hand.
"Jamie, have you seen Mr. Will?" She took him to the other side.

Elena stood at the door and watched them. Catherine was aware of Elena's eyes on them, so she showed extra love towards James. She fed the ice cream to him. He was not fond of ice cream. But Catherine intentionally gave it to his mouth. For some reason, he didn't reject it. He was enjoying the attention. He remembered his past life with Catherine. The passion and love they had. Her breathtaking smile made him forget everything. His mom and dad started laughing at him and Catherine's love. Susan was not fond of it. She was scared of how Catherine would react to the news. Elena was the reason for all these.

"Didn't you go?" Susan came to the door, giving Elena a stern look.
"My car is not working. Can you give me a ride? She asked  James.His eyes went to the others. The people around him were waiting for his answer. Susan understood her intention. Elena was playing against Catherine.
"I have arranged a cab for you, Elena. It will be here soon, Catherine said. She waved at the witch. James has no idea how to react. Well, he was mad at Elena for her appearance here.

Elena was ready to kill Catherine at any moment. She broke all her plans. She is the problem between James and her. Elena wanted to give a beautiful present to James's mom and to be in her good book.

"James, stay with me." Catherine said this for Elena to hear. Her face turned red with jealousy and hatred toward Catherine. But she can only keep silent and leave the party because no one is here.
