James pov

It has been two days since I separated from Elena. Now I am living in the cheapest hotel here. I have no courage to face Catherine. Now I understand how pure her love was. How foolish I am to lose her from my life. I got her but lost.
Elena was a mistake in my life. I thought of ending all this many times. But somewhere there is a pleasure. The pleasure of forbidden fruit. I had the pleasure of hiding and seeking, but I was too blind to see her situation. I never thought of her. My pleasure was more important to me.

I saw Elena as more beautiful than Catherine and more understanding than Catherine, but all were fake. I hit my head with my own hand. I shouldn't have signed the paper. I shouldn't have broken her heart. But all is done.
I should make things right. I will lay at the feet of Catherine for the rest of my life. I can make everything right from now on. But I need a cat in my life. I miss her. I miss her too badly. I will be the same loving husband for her.

I went to my house. Mom was sipping tea, and dad was reading the newspaper.

"Dad, mom," I called them. Dad didn't look up, but mom did.
I fall to my knees. "Mom, dad, forgive me. I was a fool. I fell into her trap, and I cried. I have no other option.
Mom pulled me.
"What happened, James?" mom asked.
"Elena, she was not pregnant. She was just fooling me; I cried.
"How dare she?" Mom sounded angry.
"Mom, I want my past life back. I want my Catherine back, I said. Mom was patting me. I can live in any misery, but only with my cat. She loves mom and dad very much. She can't reject them.
"It's okay, son. She will give you a chance, mom said. Yes, I hope too.
Dad sat like a stone, hearing everything we said.
"Dad, please," I begged him. If he asks her, she will take me back.
He hummed and went upstairs.

At office

Third pov

"Hi, I am Jordan Johnson," he introduced to Dominic. Jordan has heard about Dominic and Catherine from Susan. Now his son came back to take a picture, asking his wife.
"Dominican," he said, shaking the hand and sitting opposite.
"It will be more comfortable if I introduce myself as James, father, and I am not here for business." This introduction was indeed. Dominic now understood his entry reason.
"Okay," Dominic nodded.
"I consider Cat to be my daughter. So it is my right to know what your relationship is with her," he asked. Dominic loves her, but what about her? So how can it be a relationship?
"I know there is no boss-staff relationship between you two. Do you like her?" he asked.
"Not just like. I love her." Dominic's answer was determined. Even Jordan didn't expect him to admit it openly.
"My son had broken her heart. How can she trust you??"Jordan asked. He is a businessman. So he has seen many people. He was analyzing Dominic.
"I am not James. He fell in love with the cat after falling in love with all the girls, but I am not like that. She was my first and last love, he said.
"So you have loved her since school time. Then why did you not confess??"Jordan asked.
"Love is letting go, so I let her, but then she fell into his trap. But this time I am not letting her go," he stopped.
"I am not promising anything now, but my actions prove. it," Dominic continued.
" Okay. Then "Jordan was quite impressed with Dominic.
"It is the cat's birthday coming. I am holding a party at my house. You should be there," he said. Dominic accepted the invitation with a smile.

Dominic's pov

I first met Catherine at the school. She was a beautiful girl. She is not only beautiful, but she also has a nice personality. She was always an interesting chapter in my life. Day by day, she made me fall more for her. Catherine was the head girl of the school, so she was in every corner of it. She was the only girl who talked to me like a friend, not wanting to be my girl friend. Her smiles are bright. It made my day better. Her words were a song for me. I don't like parties, but I went to her party when she invited me. I bought a gift for her after hours of searching, because I have never bought gifts for girls. The reason was that I could never reject her. But I thought I had lost her. I have searched for a girl like her, but Catherine is Catherine. No one can replace her. And no one can replace her position in my heart.

At cafeteria

Thirds pov

James, Daniel, Victor, and Selin are sitting around a table.

"So you are telling me she was not pregnant?" Daniel asked.
"Yes," James answered.
"Now, what are you going to do?" Selin asked.
"I am going back to the cat," he answered simply.
"Will she accept you?" Victor asked.
"Of course. You all know how much she loves me," he said.
"But now? She even blocked my number. I really miss my old friend, "Victor said, remembering the moments with Cat.
"She was just mad. We are her friends. She will have to accept us," Daniel muttered.
"Yeah, I want her in marriage, "Selin said. They all tried to reach Catherine, but all went in vain.
"Her birthday is coming. Dad has arranged a party at home, James said. His mother broke the news to him. It is his chance.
"She will be happy to see me. I even bought a gift for her, James said. He still believes in her love.
"Yes, we will blast this party. After all, we are her only friends, "Selin said.
They know they are her friends. So they still have a chance.
