Summary: Harry finds something Louis carries around and thinks it's adorable

Just a really short, quick one for you all

And that's the pic in the story^^

"What do you think, love?"

Louis turns his head to the side, smiling softly at the sight. His husband is clinging to his arm, cheek nuzzled against his shoulder and fingers wrapped around his bicep. Harry's beaming, already looking up at Louis with pure admiration in his eyes.

"I think it's amazing, Lou. I can't believe it."

Louis chuckles, bending down and pressing a kiss to Harry's hair. "Believe it. We worked hard for this. We deserve a vacation."

"And now we're going to Bora Bora. Oh my god, Lou, I'm so excited." Sitting up abruptly, Harry leans over and presses a kiss to Louis' lips. "I love you so much."

With Harry tightly hugging Louis' neck, Louis' arms wrap around Harry's waist, pulling him close.

"A cruise, I've always wanted to go on a cruise," Harry babbles, pure joy oozing from his voice. "And now I get to go on my first one with my favorite person ever."

Laughing softly, Louis pulls out of the hug, hands still resting on Harry's hips. "I'm honored to hold that title." He kisses Harry again gently before lightly putting his bum. "But we still have to buy the tickets. Could you grab my wallet for me please, love?"

"Since you asked so nicely." Standing, Harry practically floats up the stairs to their bedroom, where the wallet is resting on the nightstand. Plucking it up, he heads back downstairs. He's about to turn into the living room where Louis is, so he opens the wallet to get the credit card all nice and ready for him but stops in his tracks.

There's a small picture tucked into the same slot in the wallet, which falls to the ground when Harry slides the card out. Brow creased in confusion, Harry leans down to retrieve it, flipping it over and studying it curiously.

His mouth falls open when he sees what it's a picture of. It's him. From twelve years ago. It's not a great photo, a bit blurry and not very flattering in Harry's opinion, but the goofy smile he has in the picture makes him grin. It's a bit beat up, obviously well worn and loved, seemingly taken out of its slot quite often.

"Lou," Harry calls softly, walking gingerly into the next room, eyes not leaving the picture. "What is this?"

When he does look up at Louis, he sees his husband's quirked eyebrows, clearly unsure of what they're talking about.

"What's what, H?"

Silently, Harry holds out the photo, which Louis accepts. Glancing down at it, a warm grin immediately covers Louis' face.

"This? This is a picture of the love of my life."

They've been married for seven years now and Harry still gets a bit choked up when Louis talks like that.

"Obviously." Harry sasses, sitting on the sofa beside Louis. "But why do you still have that picture?"

"Because I love it."

"Why that one? Why not one from our wedding, or something that isn't a decade old?"

"This was our first date, remember?" Louis prods, looking back at the photo fondly. "You finally said yes when I asked you out."

"What do you mean finally? You only asked me the one time."

"Well I'd asked you before in my dreams and you said no every time." Louis crosses his arms haughtily, turning away in fake defense before he hears Harry giggling and can't not look back.

"I remember when I took this. It was late, definitely past the curfew Anne set for you and I was worried I would be banished from seeing you again or something."

"Banished?" Harry laughs, his hand finding Louis' free one and interlacing their fingers, squeezing.

"Yes, banished. But you thought it was funny how stressed I was and wouldn't stop laughing at me. And you kept walking extra slow to make us even later."

Harry keeps giggling, tugging Louis' hand into his lap.

"Yeah, I remember." Harry sighs happily, resting his head against Louis' shoulder. "I was going slow because I wanted to give you the chance to kiss me."

"And I did."

"You did. You kissed me." Nodding, a small smirk flicks across Harry's face. "It was good, too. Really good."

"I like to think I've improved, though."

"Hmm," Harry taps his chin thoughtfully. "Kiss me and I'll let you know."

In the blink of an eye, Harry finds himself perched on Louis' lap, straddling him.

"This is what it all comes down to." Louis snickers. "Eighteen year old me versus thirty year old me."

"It's gonna be really embarrassing if you kissed me better back then." Harry teases, running his fingers through his husband's hair.

"I can't have gotten worse."

"Pucker up and we'll find out."

Louis laughs before pulling Harry close, wanting to scream when the taller man simply melts against him.

He loves Harry so much. He'd lay his life down to save Harry from the smallest inconvenience. It isn't a feeling that's meant to be put into words.

A few long, heavy seconds pass before Harry pulls back.

"You kissed me really well back then, but you throw me into orbit by kissing me now."

"I'd say that's an improvement."

"Definitely." Harry leans forward, burying his face in Louis' neck, breathing in his scent and hugging him loosely.

Louis' hands rub up and down Harry's back reassuringly, lulling him to sleep despite Harry's wish to stay awake.

"I keep that picture because it reminds me of the night I fell in love with you."
