Chapter 83

get ready guys it's a really long one :)

Violet's pov

Breakfast was as normal as it can be when the night before you see your little sister screaming and crying after being recently kidnapped and tortured. I'm just glad that after everything Ares is still treating me the same. It would be really hard for me if everyone was being weird as well as him.

After breakfast we all just sat around the table talking, something we used to do practically every day before everything happened, it was nice to have a piece of normalcy back.

"all right everyone go get ready we need to be at the base before the Spanish mafia gets there" Alessandro announces reminding all of us that there is still shit that needs to get done

Just as I'm about to stand up and walk away with everyone else to go get ready Alessandro's voice stops me.

"Violet before you go I would like to talk to you" he says almost nervously but trying to hide it

Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Ares standing there looking at us. Almost like this thing was planned. Nodding we both get up out of our seats and start heading down the hall to his office, turning my head to look behind me I see Ares following us.

Suddenly getting very nervous I start playing with my necklace, the one Xavier got for my birthday the first year I was here.

Making it into his office I don't bother shutting the door behind me knowing Ares is going to walk through any second, instead, I take a seat on the couch feeling like I'm going to need all the distance I can get.

True to my word Ares walks through the door just as both Alessandro and I have taken a seat. Alessandro sitting behind his desk and Ares taking a seat in front of Alessandro's desk but turning the chair to face me better.

"what do you wanna talk about?" I ask trying to sound as confident as I can get suddenly feeling like the first couple of months I was here

"We wanted to talk about your nightmare and something you said to Ares when you were held captive" You can tell just by Alessandro's tone he doesn't want to continue but he also needs to

"you said something before I was able to wake you up" Ares says, speaking for the first time

Noticing I'm not going to say anything Alessandro speaks

"you said that you didn't mean to call her mum, almost like you were terrified and then you said not to let Mikal do anything that sir and mam had done enough to teach you a lesson" Alessandro almost spits out what I had said

I don't remember saying all of that in my dream all I remember was saying I didn't mean to call her mum but then again I was pretty out of it.

"Okay what does that have to do with anything" I ask trying to see if they think something more happened, I mean there was but they don't have to know

"We started to look into your past to see if there was anything that could have made you say something like that and we came across a hospital report from six years ago. A twelve-year-old girl was dumped at the hospital, showing clear signs of being severely abused worse than anyone had ever seen. After having surgery to repair bones and other things they left her to wake up. When she did she wouldn't speak, she would do anything but look around the room then three days later she ran out of the hospital. The one thing all of the nurses and doctors could agree upon was how the girl had the greenest eyes any of them have seen and her blonde hair" After finishing he grabs a folder from his draw and hands it out for me

Taking it, I open the folder to see the hospital report including a sketch of what the girl looked like. She looks a lot like how I would look when I was 12. But that's only because she was me, I remember everything about it. How I had been late getting to school so they decided to beat me and then practically throw me out the door telling me to get to school. The walk to school was hell, my leg was in so much pain I'm pretty sure they had fractured it or something.
