Chapter 31- Meeting the parents

I wiped my face with a towel and retied my hair I closed the door behind me as I walked out of the room

"Do you kno-?" Rave trailed off as his eyes focused on Jenna who was coming down the stairs her red pumps clacking in against the mahogany floor

I heard Raven clear his throat I eyed Jenna's yellow dress that stopped on her mid calf with her back bare, her red hair flowing straight behind her freely

She looked so pretty I wanted to burn her with a flamethrower, Alpha Xavier clasped her hand guiding her as she reached the last step

I saw the way his eyes regarded her and I blinked back tears from my eyes breathing through my mouth, we heard cars rolling into a stop in the drive way

"They're here" Jenna said brightly her smile reaching her eyes as she rushed towards the door dragging Alpha Xavier behind her while I froze with nervousness

Raven nudged my shoulder with his..."Ready?" He asked licking his lip nervously "No" I answered honestly Raven laughed "I don't think you have a choice" he said "I never do" I said back as I follow him towards the door

We faced the drive way were two sleek black cars are parked

A woman with angular face and short blond hair with coal black eyes stepped out of the first car followed by a tall man who had coal eyes and greying, sandy blond hair.

I knew instantly that these were Raven's parents her mom walked swiftly and engulfed me into a hug "Oh..Raven, she's so adorable" she said loudly without breaking the hug

I stood there my feet planted to the ground not knowing what to do Raven looked at her mother with wide eyes "Mom..she's not my mate" he said shaking his head hard

His mother flushed letting go of me "Oh..sorry dear" she apologized and I felt Alpha Xavier's hand grabbed my arm and pulled me until I was a good two foot away from him

Alpha Xavier cleared his throat "That's okay Dolores" he said addressing Raven's mom before turning to his mom who looked nothing like him, except for their bone structure Luna Entice was smirking at me

I saw Raven put his arms around Jenna introducing her to his parents

"Mom...Dad, this is-" before he could finish Luna Entice already filled in "Ash Jones" I nodded my head Alpha Xavier tensed "She's my..." he can't seem to finish his sentence

So I filled in for him "Mate" I said and he let out a breath "Yeah..." he said nodding

I met her mom's caramel eyes that emphasized her dark brown hair "Hi,Luna Entice" I smiled and turned to Alpha Morgan "Alpha" I said with a bow of my head

"Oh..darling,you can call me mom" she said pressing my cheek against her as her hug me "We're family" she said her hands on my shoulder

"Nice to finally meet you young lady" Alpha Morgan said and I heard Raven snorted behind me I resisted the ugh to drown him

"You too Alpha" I said accepting his hand he shook it and Luna Entice whispered "Oh you can call Morgan dad" I smiled up politely

We waked behind Jenna, Raven, and his parents the sat in the chairs of the long dinner table

Raven pulled a chair for Jenna and Alpha Xavier sat down to the one next to Jenna's left side while Raven sat on her right Luna Entice eyed me carefully a I hesitatantly sat at the seat next to him

"Well how was Europe?" Jenna asked breaking the ice "It was great...all the beautiful sceneries..." Raven's mom answered

We were eating dessert when Raven's dad whose name was Samuel asked "So son, what are your mating plans?" He asked Raven and I felt Alpha Xavier stiffened

"We are talking about it" Rave chastised and I saw Jenna squirmed uncomfortably

"What about you two?" Luna Entice asked and I quickly shove a spoonful of Gelato in my mouth to have an excuse for not talking

Alpha Xavier pretended to consider the question for a while before answering "Well, we are considering" he said and I pursed my lips at his lie

Alpha Morgan laughter rumbled "Kids" he said with a shake of head "Back in our day, mating isn't something you plan" he said winking at Luna Entice

I laughed while Alpha Xavier rolled his eyes but I saw the slight smile on his lips

"Remember that time Morgan? " Alpha Samuel asked and Luna Dolores swatted his arm playfully "At the woods when Dolo-" before he could finish Rave groaned

"Dad no!" He whined covering his ears and we all laughed I looked at the two couples in front of me and I can't help the longing that pulled at the strings of my heart

These are what mates are supposed to be...I thought while smilling at them

Maybe someday...

It was night and I slept at the room I used to sleep in, Raven and Jenna were sleeping at the same room-much to Alpha Xavier's dismay- across the hall Alpha Xavier's parents are sleeping at the guestroom beside Alpha Xavier's room while Raven's parent at the other guest room upstairs

I slipped out of my bed not being able to sleep so I slowly padded to the kitchen startled to see Alpha Xavier sitting at the barstool by the counter

He looked at me and I quickly started to retreat "I'm sorry" I whispered before I could walk out of the kitchen he said "No..its okay" he said without looking at me

I grabbed a glass and started to pour milk on it I nervously drank it while looking at him

"Your parents are nice" I said as I placed the milk on the counter he smiled "I know" he said and I nodded my head slowly

I took a seat at the barstool across him "Can't sleep?" I asked he shook his head "Just thinking" he answered he glanced at my hands that were above the counter, shaking

I quickly hid it under the table he looked up at me and I felt my heart skip a beat as I met his eyes

"You have milk on your lips" he said and I quickly wiped the sides of my lips with my fingers he chuckled and leaned in to wipe it off from the top of my lips I shiver in his touch and leaned in instinctively he straightened and quickly got off from the stool

"I'm sorry" I apologized snapping out of it, and he just shook his head before heading out of the kitchen "Look I'm sorry!" I called but he just continued on walking
