Chapter 37- Flowers and Cans

Before I go to sleep he called once again...and like always his end of the line was silent so I muttered against the phone "I really do think you're a good dancer" before drifting off to sleep the sound of his breathing lulling me.

I checked my log the call ended by 5:30 just like always...

"How come I didn't saw you last night ?" Alice asked during english while I tried to stop myself from staring at a certain someone at the back row

"You were probably too busy dancing with Jake to notice" I said teasing her she rolled her eyes "Jake was drunk and I was bored" she said with conviction

"He was drunk and I was bored" Alice reason in an informative tone before turning to Raven "So Raven how was your night?" Alice asked

"I was almost deflowered" Raven said in a loud voice the class erupted in laughter while Mrs. Kings who entered the room just in time to hear Raven's statement smiled

"Thank you for sharing Mr. Sonter" Mrs Kings said before turning to the board to scribble something just as Raven leaned to whisper in my ear

"The key word is almost since my flower is long gone" I wrinkled my nose "Rave.." I called him "Yeah?" He asked silently

I turned to whisper in his ear "Don't you think it's weird that we're talking about your flower?" I asked "Yes, it is" he whispered back

"Should we stop talking about it?" I asked and he nodded "Yes, we should" he said straightening in his chair ending the most awkward and inappropriate conversation I have ever had

"Hey Ash" Jenna greeted as I slipped into the chair across from her "Didn't see you at the party last night...where were you?" She asked like we're friends-which we're not just to be clear

My eyes flickered to Cameron who winked at me putting his index finger against his lips I shifted my eyes to James Lint who was sitting next to Hail obviously avoiding Cameron

I licked my lips "Around" I answered taking a bite from my hamburger

Raven clicked his tongue with irritation  when Jenna 0drank  from Alpha Xavier's drink, I looked at the can of cola they both drank from, and wished that it melts off preferably in Jenna's vile lips

My mouth open agape in surprise when Raven hastily snatched the hamburger from my hands and finished it off in two gigantic bites

Alpha Xavier scoffed and smirked at Raven with one of his eyebrow raised as if to say: I cannot care less

I cleared my throat trying not to scowl at Jenna who merely smiled I turned my head to strike a conversation with Gabriel but it seems like he was to busy ignoring Hail who kept trying to get his attention

I glanced at Alpha Xavier who had his arm around Jenna's shoulder his eyes met mine and I gave him a fake smile before rolling my eyes

"So Cameron still no idea who your mate is..?" Beta Jordan asked and I saw James Lint stiffened "No.." Cameron say non chalantly "Well she must be just around the corner" Jasmine said nicely Alice grimaced at the sound of her voice

I looked at everyone around the table...talk about awkward relationships or... lack of relationships

I bit my lip waiting for his call once again it was almost 2 am when he called and I quickly answered it "Hey!" I said in relief against the phone

"Can I ask you for a favor?" I asked him my voice nothing but a whisper his answer remained to be silence "Tomorrow I'll ask you tomorrow" I declared

"Please say yes.." I said "When I ask you tomorrow say yes okay?" I whispered desperation clear in my voice

Still nothing from him not a word not a sound but his steady breathing

I kind of like this late night call of ours because no matter how long it takes for me to wait I have faith that he will call that even if it's mostly just me talking, the sound of his breathing is enough to give me comfort

I like the fact that we have our own thing no Jenna no one else but...us
