Chapter 48- The Fault in our lateness

'I have some good news" Jenna announced during lunch the next day

Pfft...my shoulders slumped being used to the fact that her good news are my bad ones

"We have a week off for Shift for a claw right?" she asked pertaining to one of the best holidays in werewolf history where back in the revolution days every werewolf shifted and stayed in their wolf form for one whole week as a form of protest against the vampires

"We're going to Misty crystals cabin" she announced "Awesome" Cameron said giving Jordan a high five

"I remember the last time we went there" he said wiggling his eyebrows at Alpha Xavier who merely smirk

"Great!" I exclaimed giving them a wide smile before my eyebrows pulled together "What is Misty Crystals cabin though?" I asked my head tilted

"Oh...the cabin's one of the properties of the Black family" Jenna explained then Jasmine added "But that's not what's important the thing is that Misty Crystals is where the wildest Mystical parties are, the clubs are crazy"

"The best part is...the drinking age is 15" James Lint said Raven laughed saying,

"I knew someone who went there one time, he said that he was so wasted that he took off all his clothes climbed at the roof of the club yelling 'When life gives you lemons squeeze it to someone's eyes' over and over again" Raven chuckled finishing the story

I turned to look at Raven "You did that?" I asked his his eyes widened "Scaredypup, weren't you listening I said someone I knew did that" he said

Alice raised her eyebrows "Sounds like fun" she chastised "When do we leave?" She asked

Jenna smiled "First thing tomorrow" she said

I looked around the table there's Alice, Jordan, Jasmine, Dreydon, Gabriel, Hail, James, Cameron, Jenna, Raven, Alpha Xavier, and me...great.Not.

I was lying in bed later that day when he called I stared at my ringing phone for a while I sighed heavily and answered

"Hey" I whispered against the phone, "Jenna said to meet us in the border at four am tomorrow." He said his voice making shivers run down my spine

"Four am?Woah, Raven will be thrilled" I said jokingly "You know Raven can't ev-" before I could finish he cut me off

"Just don't be late." He snapped I scowled amidst the dark of my room

"Okay" I said and waited for the call to end but it didn't so I put it against the bedside table looking at it knowing that somewhere at the other line he's there, somewhere beyond my grasp but near my dreams...just like he always is.

I woke up with Raven pestering me like vultures to the dead...tapping my cheeks, pulling at my blanket, dragging my feet off the bed,

"Why won't you leave. Me. Alone?!" I billowed angrily Raven whose golden hair shimmered in the dark laughed his hands raised

"Hey!They said first thing in the morning right?" He asked smilling pointing at the rising sun by my curtained window my eyes widened and I looked at the clock

5:43 am my eyes flickered to Raven "We are so dead" I told him the smile eased off his face

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked his voice muffled by the bathroom door as I rinsed shampoo out of my hair

"I set my alarm at 4 o'clock" I reasoned out while shutting off the shower "Yeah..and I can see that it totally woke you up" he said sarcastically

I shrugged on my clothes pulling my jeans up "It did. I just fell asleep again" I said

"They probably left us already" Raven said I opened the bathroom door " No" I said shaking my head even if I really do think that they left already

Raven rolled his eyes at me grabbing my camping bag as we left the house " It's your fault" he told me

We were driving to the boundary just in case they haven't left yet "It's your fault" Raven reminded me as our car halted in the border eyes glued ahead

We stopped infront of the white van where Alpha Xavier was leaning his back against his arms crossed and his cold eyes starring down at me

We got off the car slowly "It's her fault!" Raven said quickly when Alpha Xavier looked at him beautiful lips pressed into a thin line

Alpha Xavier turned to me one of his eyebrows raised, I gave him a wobbly smile with a shrug

"I'm so sorry" I said slightly but he continued to stare down at me "I promised I did set an alarm

I took a deep breath "You're mad" I declared looking at the tight lock of his jaw he rolled his eyes "And you're late" he said walking away

I glared at Raven who smiled apologetically and I engulfed me in a hug I didn't hugged him back instead I pushed him off but he didn't budged

"Sorry" he mumbled against my head "Even if it's your fault" he added quickly I laughed we jumped apart when the horn of the van blared

I looked through the windshield to see Alpha Xavier leaning over Jordan who was at the driver seat Alpha Xavier continued to press his fist against the horn his eyes seething with anger

I looked heaven wards and dragged my bags towards the van

This will be a vacation to die for or in.

Its probably the latter
