Emily’s POV:

I standby the window looking out at the sky as everyone else stands around a table, listening and watching Fury and Loki’s conversation.

“ Incase it’s unclear,” Fury said, “ You try to escape, you so much as scratch that glass, 30,000 feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works? Ant, boot.” ‘Ant? Boot? What is Fury talking about?’ I think to myself.

Loki laughed and said, “It’s an impressive cage; not built, I think, for me.”

“Built for something a lot stronger than you,” Fury said.

“Oh, I’ve heard,” Loki said as I turned around and walked up next to Thor, watching Loki on the screen now. Loki looks up at the camera, saying, “A mindless beast makes play he’s still a man and a girl with uncontrollable fire and ice that makes play that she is still good. How desperate are you? You call on such lost creatures to defend you.”

“How desperate am I?” Fury asked, “You threaten my world with war, you steal a force you can’t hope to control, you talk about peace, and you kill because it’s fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did.”

“Oh, it burns you to have come so close. To have the Tasseract, to have power. Unlimited power, and for what? A warm light for all mankind to share? And then to be reminded what real power is,” Loki said.

“Well, let me know if real power wants a magazine or something,” Fury said walking away.

Everyone is quiet for a few seconds then Bruce asked, “He really grows on you, doesn’t he?”

I crack a small smile at that while Steve said, “Loki’s going to drag this out.”

I look over at Thor and ask, “So, Thor, what’s his plan?”

“He has an army called the Chitauri. They’re not of Asguard or of any realm known,” Thor said, “He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect for the Tasseract.”

“An army, from outer space,” Steve said.

“So he’s building another portal. That’s what he needs Eric Selvig for.” Bruce said.

                “Selvig?” Thor asked.

“He’s an astrophysicist,” Bruce said as I look at Thor.

                “He’s a friend,” Thor said.

“Loki has him under some kind of spell. Along with one of ours.” I tell Thor.

“I want to know why Loki let us take him, he’s not leading an army from here,” Steve said.

“I don’t think we need to be focusing on Loki. That guy’s brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him,” Bruce said

“Have care on haw you speak,” Thor said, “Loki is beyond reason but he is of Asguard and he is my brother.”

“He killed 80 people,” Natasha said.
