[[Returning Home]] hi

Two years later.

I was currently sitting on a big leather arm chair in front of the head masters oak desk. I played with my hair and chewed my nails nervously as he placed his glasses on his nose and scanned over my report. Finally, after what seemed  like hours but was only a minute, but lay my report on his deak and looked at me.

"I'm impressed." He said smiling at me as I breathed out relieved.

"Really?" I asked hopefully.

"Your grades are outstanding. You've improved tremendously since you first started." I felt relief sweep though me as I relaxed more into the sofa.

"Great, so, um, why was I called here? Am I in trouble?" I asked with my tumbs twitching.

"No, you're an excellent student Miss Danvers. Are you aware that your two years here are over?" He asked raising his eyebrows.

"Oh." Actually I hadn't even thought about it. I couldn't believe it'd been two years already. Wow, time really has passed. "No." I said truthfully.

"Well, I spoke to your parents yesterday and gave them a full report. They are very excitied to have you home...if that is what you want." He paused before adding the last part in slowly.

"I'm sorry?" I swallowed and frowned.

"You are one of our top students, it would be a shame to see you leave half way through your school years, you've made a bunch of friends and I know how difficult it'll be moving to another school having to start all over again."

Actually, I wouldn't be starting again, I already knew everyone there I just hadn't seen them in the past two years. They probably forgot about me, just as I forgot about them. I didn't forget them though, I just didn't think about them. With school and homework and hanging out with friends, I lost touch with everyone. Even Kat and Tina.

I remember the promise I'd made to Kat two years ago. That I'd be back for her 16th which was next week. I doubt she'll recongise me, I've changed since I was 13. I didn't have the short bob anymore, my hair now reached my waist in natural curls. I only needed my glasses for reading and my braces came off last year.

I'd lost the baby fat aswel and now I was an attractive 16 year old, according to the guys anyway. Me, I still felt as though I was the same 13 year old. I'd matured alot but still liked to have fun. I never said I'll end up being perfect.

I didn't know how I felt about going home. I mean, two years is a long time. Would they even remember me? Would they recongise me? Have they changed? Have I changed? What if they don't like me anymore? So much can change in two years.

"Your parents are giving you the choice. Stay here and finish school or return home. I need an answer within the next half an hour I'm affraid." My life here is great and yet I'd made a promise two years ago that I tend to keep.

"Ok. I have your answer." I said trying to sound confident.

"These next two years are going to be so boring without you." I smiled and hugged Wilson, the big strong blue eyed, brown haired boy next door.

"I'm sure you can fill in for me." I laughed.

"Well, yeah. But we're partners in crime!" He said doing some karate moves.

"I'm going to miss you too." I smiled and hugged him again.

"You should have stayed." Andy said standing up. He was tall, pale blue eyed with dirty blonde hair.
