My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 25

[[Step One]]

Andy drove us all back to my house and I silently thanked Matt for taking baskteball practise so he wouldn't be home for atleast another hour. I got to know Olivia better and we actually had a lot of things in common.

She told me all about her telling the others about what she had done and she told me why she did it. Everything happened all because she was blinded by jealousy. I got the amazing best friends, the sweet, caring brother and the hot adoring boyfriend.

She kept saying sorry every five minutes worried that I would just take back my forgiveness. Truth in all, she actually wasn't such a bad person. Once you get under the jealousy and bitchiness of course, that's just who she is but she's not as bad.

Only mum and Jakey were back when we walked through the door. My mum had been amazing over these last few weeks and I made a mental note to do something nice for her and Jakey. I loved my little brother, he's always on my side.

"Hey Jakey." I said placing him on my hip.

"Sophieeee." He laughed as I walked into the living room. I sat down and placed him on my lap whilst the other's took a seat. Jakey waved at Kerri and Andy but frowned when he saw Olivia. "She's mean. She make you cry." He said looking back at me.

"Yes. However, Olivia and I are friends now." He looked back at her and frowned.

"You nice now?" He asked and Olivia smiled and nodded. "Yayyy. Sophie happy!" He cheered and hugged me again. Yup, I love my brother.

"Sooo..." Andy said as he watched Jakey run back into the kitchen. " You wanted to talk to us?"

"Yes." I nodded and looked at my hands.

"So?" Kerri said and I looked up with a questioning face.

"Talk woman." Olivia added and I made an O shape with my mouth.

"Well.." I sighed and turned to Andy. "Remember..... remember when we were at the hospital and Wilson made me promise him something?"

"Yeahh." He nodded.

"I don't ever want to break that promise. Therefore, I figured the only way I can move on is to forgive everybody and start taking steps forward. Life's too short to live in the past so I'm going to talk to Kat and Tina."

"Ok." Kerri said smiling.

"Why did you tell us?" Andy asked confused.

"Becauseee... You two have been with me through everything and I don't want you to think that I'm going to push you guys away now that I'm going to slowly let them in."

"Oh hunny, we wouldn't give you a chance to push us away." Kerri said shaking her head amused.

"And I wanted Olivia to know because we're friends now and besides, she probably knows as much as you guys. You have to know your enemy."

"Damn right." She agreed smiling.

To say I was nervous the next day was not true.

"Stop clicking your tongue and keep your fingers still!" Andy yelled. Ok, so maybe it was true. I haven't spoken to these girls in weeks, I wasn't sure what to expect. Could things go to the way they were before? Or were things going to be more awkward then ever now?

"Stop worrying. They want you to be their friend again, they've been feeling guilty ever since I told them the truth." Olivia said patting my arm as Andy pulled up infront of the school.
