The Rules

Parth's phone pinged signalling that he has received a text. He opened the text right away.

She :- "You should know the rules for interacting with introverts."

He knew what this was about but still asked.

He:- "Wh-What? I don't think that's even a thing."

She:- "Yes it is."

He:- "Okay so why don't you enlighten me with your oh so important rules."

She:- Oh I sure will. Here you go.

Rule 1. You can't push them to make a lot of friends.
Rule 2. You have to give them time to think. Don't demand instant answers.
Rule 3. Give them advanced notice of expected changes in their life.
Rule 4. Respect their need for privacy.

He:- "Why I have never heard about them? Who even made them?"

She:- "I did. And let me tell you that you have already violated rule no. 2 and 3.

He:- Though he knew what she was going on about, he still asked "What did I do?"

She:- "You've suddenly invited me for a dinner at your house and that too with your parents, and you're not even giving me time to think about it." :/

He:- "Oh c'mon don't be such a baby. I'm sure you can handle a small dinner with my parents. I am positive that you'll charm them with your awkwardness." he teased

She:- "I don't even know if I am ready to spend my whole life with some over enthusiastic extrovert." :P she teasingly striked back

He:- "Oh trust me, you're dying to spend your life with me." ;)

She laughed.

And that's how parth convinced Jiya to meet his parents and made their relationship official. Though the dinner was quite awkward at the beginning, everyone got comfortable with each other at the end.
