And the quote of the day is:

"I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe;
I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I water'd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with my smiles
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright;
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veil'd the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretch'd beneath the tree."

~ William Blake, The Poison Tree

This is one of my favorite poems. It was hard for me to select just a stanza as a quote so I decided to put in all of it. I love how it explains a truth of human nature. It tells how anger can be dispelled by goodwill or nurtured to become a deadly poison and so it is only best for us to not supress our anger within and forgive the other person resulting in our own benifit. The metaphors used are of a kind that can apply to many instances in our life.
