Caroline sat in the back of the car, looking out the window with her little girl curiosity. Dustin simply lay asleep in the seat beside her. Thunder crashed outside, and lightning flashed before the thunder even arrived, a pattern, lightning, thunder, lightning, thunder. "Mommy?" The little girl asked to the woman sitting in the front passenger seat. "Yes darling?" the beautiful woman that looked like the little girl said in reply. "Why does lightning flash and thunder come after it?" Caroline asked. Her mother turned around, her bright grey eyes looking into her. "Because when someone says I love you, you say it back" she said simply. "Mommy?" Caroline asked again. "Yes darling?" she replied with a smile. "I love you" the little girl said. "I love you too".
