Chapter 4
Finding Fragile Ferrets
As he opened his eyes, Takatsu thought he saw something strange yet again. He frowned a little at what looked like some sort of roadkill on the right of the sidewalk.
He mumbled, "The second weird thing I saw today..." He was slightly annoyed at the things that were trying to disrupt his perfectly timed scheduled routine.
Takatsu got closer and found that the "roadkill" looked like a ferret. It was.
And it was breathing, barely.
Yet again, Takatsu became even more irritated that the ferret was still alive. Not a good thing to be thinking that way, but he knew that it needed rescuing, even if it meant not getting home on time.
"Shit."
