Risky Rodent Rescue
Now, Takatsu wasn't very happy with the fact that a half-dead ferret was awaiting his rescue. But he knew that simply walking away would mean leaving it to die. Takatsu felt a guilt trip coming on just thinking about it.
So he wrapped the fragile creature in his sweater to bring home, struggling in the process, trying not to let his clean hands get dirtied by the touch of its blood. Who knows if it has some contagious disease like rabies?
Once he got home, Takatsu glanced at the wooden clock on his living room wall and was shocked to see what time it was.
He was exactly five minutes and twenty-three seconds off schedule, thanks to the burden from the ferret.
Not only did he have to risk being contaminated with rabies, but he also had to risk his routine completely falling apart!
Poor Takatsu.
