"Hey, you weren't answering your phone. . ."  I stopped in his doorway when I saw him writing rapidly on his board. I watched, my heart sinking as he continued to write illegibly.

"Are you okay?" I asked slowly.

"I'm fine."

"Really? Cause you haven't spoken to me in three days. And. . . And you look like you haven't slept in that long either. Stiles, what's going on? Are you okay?"

When he didn't answer, I reached forward and gently put my hand on his shoulder. I gasped when he jumped away from me, my hand staying in the air. I slowly lowered my hand back to my side as Stiles turned away from me.

My heart sank as his whole body tensed and his shoulders started to shake. I quietly walked up behind him. He took in a breath as I reached up and pulled the neck of his shirt aside, revealing his shoulder.

"Stiles!" I gasped when I saw the circular bite mark on his shoulder. He quickly stepped away, facing me. "What the hell happened to you?"

When he didn't answer, I started to get angry. I quickly walked around him and lifted his shirt up so I could see the mark. I bit my lip as I studied it. I reached towards it and gently touched it, my cold fingers making him jump.

"What is this?" I asked under my breath. I put his shirt back down and grabbed his waist, turning him back around. I reached forward and gently cupped his cheek in my hand, catching a stray tear with my thumb.

"Stiles," I whispered, not moving my hand from his cheek. "What happened?"

He opened and closed his mouth before lowering his head. "I can't tell you," he stuttered.

"Why not?" I asked gently.

"Because. . . Because you'll never look at me the same," he said taking a few steps back, pulling away from my hand.

The look in his eyes made my heart break. "I promise, Stiles," I said gently, "I won't look at you any differently."

"You'll think I'm a monster," he mumbled.

"Stiles Stilinski, how dare you think that after everything we've been through, I would think you were a monster. I know you, Stiles. Whatever happened, you're not a monster."

He let out a sigh of defeat as I grabbed his hand and led him over to his bed. We sat on the edge of it and, after a few minutes of us just sitting there, he told me about the night in the library with Damion.

When he was finished telling the story, it was quiet. I studied his profile and could see he had been letting this accident destroy him.

"See?" He said his voice breaking. "You think I'm a monster."

He quickly stood up and walked away. I immediately jumped up, grabbed his wrist, and turned him around. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug.

"I'm so happy you're okay," I said under my breath as tears formed in my eyes. I let out a sigh of relief as he wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head in the crook of my neck. My breath got caught in my throat when I felt a tear hit my collar bone.

"I'm sorry. . . I didn't mean to. . . He threatened my dad, Y/N. I couldn't let him. . . He threatened you. He said he was going to find you and hurt you. . . He threatened to kill you, Y/N. I had to do something, but I didn't mean to. . . It was an accident," he cried into my shoulder.

"I know," I said gently as I ran my fingers through his hair.

Once he had calmed down, he pulled out of our hug but didn't let go of my waist. "Stiles," I said, making him look up at me. "You are not, nor will you ever be a monster."

"But. . . I killed him, Y/N."

"It was self-defense," I softly reminded him.

"If people find out," he stuttered.

"They won't. Besides, your dad would do anything to protect you. You know that."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was just scared that you would react like Scott. He got so angry and. . . The way he looked at me. . . I don't know what I would do if you looked at me that way."

I reached up and cupped his cheek in my hand. "Scott overreacted but he'll come to his senses. And as far as me looking at you like that? I would never. I'm just happy that you're okay. I don't know what I would do if I lost you, Stiles."

I gasped as he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. I didn't hesitate to kiss him back. I got lost in the kiss as our lips moved in sync. I pulled away, breathless.

"Wow," I giggled under my breath. I looked up to see him smiling at me.

"Y/N?" He said softly.

"Yes, Stiles?"

"I umm. . . I want to tell you something."

"Okay," I said with a small smile on my face. "What is it?" I asked when he didn't continue.

"Y/N, the thing is. . . I kind of, maybe, sort of have had this really big, gigantic, embarrassing crush on you since pretty much the seventh grade. And somewhere along the way, it turned into. . . Love."

"You love me?" I asked, my voice getting caught in my throat.

"More than that," he smiled taking a step closer to me. "I am absolutely, completely, stupidly in love with you."

My breath got caught in my throat as he pressed his lips to mine. I smiled into the kiss as he pulled me closer to his chest. I pulled away, my head spinning.

"I'm in love with you too, Stiles."

I giggled as I felt him pick me up and spin me around. I bit my lip as he pressed his forehead to mine. "You have no idea how happy that makes me."

I couldn't help but laugh. "I think I have some idea."
