Chapter 8: Date?

The next couple of days consist of Celine trying really hard to get Morgan's attention but failing badly on it. "I swear is that girl blind that she can't see your efforts?" Yana asked

"Well can you blame her? So far everything we tried ended up failing, except for that one time it actually exploded" Westley commented

"Why did I agree on having a fireworks display?" Celine asked

"If that worked it could've been romantic" Yana replied

"Welp, it didn't, and we nearly sat your house on fire" Westley added

"Argh! Why is it so hard!" Celine complained

"This is why I let my boylets do the work" said Westley

"Argh. You guys are no help" said Celine sighing "Now go. I have work to finish" she added, and her friends left.

On the flip side. Morgan noticed that Celine's been acting weird ever since they got back from their mini vacation so, she's getting worried. So, she's currently driving Celine back to their house and it was a pretty silent car ride.

When they arrived, Celine went out the car before Morgan could have opened the door for her. At this point Morgan couldn't take it anymore "Celine, wait" she said grabbing the other girls' wrist.

Celine turned and looked at Morgan tiredly "Yeah?" she asked

"Is everything ok?"

"Yeah" Celine replied and tried to go in the house but again Morgan didn't let her "What?" her voice was harsher this time

Morgan decided not to press any further and let go of the girls' hand "Nothing, never mind" she said and turned the other way

Celine sighed "Wait" she ordered making Morgan turn back "What were you trying to say?" she asked. Her voice is calmer this time.

Morgan came closer "Well, it's just I noticed you've been acting weird these couple of days and I...I'm worried about you" she confessed

"Y-you are?"

Morgan gulped and nodded "Yeah. Well, I mean. It kinda is my job"

"Oh" Celine replied disappointedly

"Uhm...So, I'll go ahead. Good night" said Morgan turning away again

"I was acting that way because I was only trying to get your attention" Celine confessed making Morgan stop from her tracks

She turned "What?" Morgan asked "Why?"

Celine thought for a second "Well, you brought me to the vineyard and I actually had fun. So, I wanted to repay you" she lied

"Oh" Morgan scratched the back of her head "you don't need to do that"

"But I wanted to" Celine insisted "How about we go see a movie this weekend? Only if you want"

Morgan smiled "I'd like that"

"Great, I'll see you tomorrow then"

Morgan nodded "Good night"

"Night"

Saturday came, and the pair are waiting on the line to buy a ticket "So, what do you want to watch?" Morgan asked

"You're going out?! OMG" Westley said

"Yeah, we're going to watch a movie this weekend" Celine replied

"Girl! You finally have your first ever date. Make it memorable!" Yana said

"Yeah, I will"

"You said you're going to watch a movie, right?" Westley asked, and Celine nodded "Why don't you use that as a stepping stone to make a move"

"Go watch a horror movie" Yana explained

"But I don't like horror movies"

"Girl suck it up. Just think if she gets scared she'll cling on your arms" Westley replied

"I think, Morgan's not the type of girl that gets scared" Celine commented

"Well, just try. You don't have anything to lose" said Yana

"Let's try Pet Sematary" Celine replied

"Are you sure? It's a horror movie" Morgan asked but Celine nodded her head "Ok, if you say so"

So, they bought some popcorn and drinks then they took their seats. Celine tried her best not to get nervous, but Morgan noticed it. So, she held the girls' hand. Celine tensed up at first and turned to Morgan who just gave her a smile then eased up.

Throughout the movie Celine kept flinching and the popcorn are getting everywhere annoying the people in front of them "Sorry" Morgan apologised as Celine hide behind the popcorn.

Morgan turned to the other girl and saw that she really is scared and only trying to be brave. And with that she couldn't help but smile

"So, did you enjoy?" Morgan asked as she walked Celine to her room

"Yeah, thank you for coming with me by the way"

"No, it's my pleasure actually"

"I know you kept laughing at me" said Celine pushing Morgan

Morgan smiled "Night" she said when they arrive. But instead of answering Celine kissed her cheek instead, surprising the other girl then closed the door behind her.
