(Y/N)'s POV
Niall and I are walking in the streets of London, hand in hand. We decided to walk around the area because we are so full from the food that we had a while ago.
“Did you enjoy the food?” Niall asked in the middle of the silence and I smiled nodding
“Yeah, I loved it. I really want to have another slice of the strawberry shortcake, but I was so full from the steak that we had.” I chuckled and he laughed
“I agree. How about next date we go there again, would you like that?” He asked
“I would love that.” I answered
Niall and I are dating for 4 months now and tonight was our dinner date. This date was so far, the best, it was more pure and I felt something during our conversation. I don't know what it is but compared from the previous dates we've had, but tonight, I was more comfortable while I was talking to him.
When we arrived to my apartment, he held my hand and gave it a kiss.
“Good night, my love.” He said and I blushed
“Good night.” I said
“I'll message you when I get home.” He said
“Okay, be careful.”
“I love you.” He said
I swear my heart stopped beating when he said those three words. I was surprised and I feel like I'm not breathing.
“Uhm.. Niall, I think that--”
“You're right. I mean it's a little early for me to say it and--” He said and I felt he was embarrassed and his voice got a little shaky
“Yes, but please don't feel rejected or anything because--”
“Oh no, it's okay. I completely understand, I'm just--”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah.” He said looking at his shoes
It was an awkward silence making me want to go inside of my room and hide because I feel so ashamed.
“Uhm, so..” He said trying to break the awkward silence
“Niall.” I said and he looked at me “I really enjoyed tonight. I had a lot of fun. To be honest, tonight was different, I felt something special. But I'm sorry if I cannot say it back, it's just that, I'm not ready. I'm sorry, I hope you understand and hoping that you'll give me time.” I said and grabbed his hands with mine
