I woke up to the sound of my alarm buzzing off on the dresser. I stretched out my hand to turn it off, knocking off some of my books in the process. The clock read 6:00, so it was time for me to get ready for school. Ugh...

I groaned before dragging myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I then proceeded to brush my teeth sleepily.

A few minutes later, I was in the shower, and the warm water cascading down my body helped chase away the sleep. Then I proceeded to dry myself off and pick an outfit for my first day at school. I looked through all my new clothing and decided to settle for a short pale pink dress, which was sleeveless. The neckline was made of lace, and it had a tiny belt in the middle. I put on a white jacket and wore my favorite sandals. Then stood in front of my mirror, deciding what to do with my hair.

Should I braid it, leave it down, or just it in a ponytail? I settled for only brushing and leaving it down in its long brown waves. I looked at the time and found it was a few minutes past seven. I hurriedly grabbed my backpack, which was already loaded with books, and then dashed downstairs. I was immediately welcomed by the delicious aroma of bacon and eggs. Hmm...yummy.

"Morning, mum." I cheerfully greeted while skipping into the kitchen. She was already dressed for work and setting the dining table.

"Morning, sweetie. Already set for school, I see."

"Yep," I answered and gave her a peck on the cheek. Dad walked in then, also dressed for work, and placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Morning, dad."

"Morning, sunshine."

Not long after, Jax walked in and joined us for breakfast. But unlike us, he wasn't all dressed up.

"Sweetie, let me drop you off at school." Mum offered.

"It's okay. Jax already offered to." I was the only one who didn't have a car in this house. And that was all because my dad said I had to be eighteen first, which was a few months from now.

I went out the door with my parents in tow. We were all ready to go.

"I hope you're all good?" Mum asked, and I nodded. "You have your timetable and locker number?"

"Yeah, mum. Now go!" I urged while she looked hesitant before driving off in her car. Dad already left while she was questioning me. She was always worried.

A few seconds later, Jax came out, casually dressed in a blue hoodie with faded jeans.

"Geez, it's freezing out here." He walked over to his blue Toyota while I hopped into the passenger's seat before he drove off.

Jax was a responsible driver. He doesn't speed to impress anyone, not even girls. But he wasn't slow either. He was just careful.

After thirty minutes, we arrived at my school, which was already packed with teenagers hustling and bustling into the school building.

"You ready, sis?" Jax asked as I hopped out of his car.

"Yeah." I noticed some students looking over at Jax in awe. I guess he was really popular in his time here, and he was handsome too. So I couldn't blame them. Even though he's looking like he just got out of bed, he still looked amazing with that dark brown messy hair of his and those sea-blue eyes.

"Call me when you're done to come pick you up."

"I will," I answered and walked closer to the school building, ignoring the curious eyes that were staring at me.

New girl got dropped off at school by former hot QB, Jaxon Kendall.

Now everybody's going to be talking about me on my first day. Fantastic. I just hoped they figure out the similarities between us and not think of us as a couple or something like that.
