Chapter 8

Naina's POV

We reached the venue. Rajveer and I entered inside holding hands and everyone looked at us with. We went and stood on the stage and one by one everyone came and congratulated us.

A group of boys came on stage and hugged him. Rajveer was so happy to see them.

"Naina met my school friends." He said with a pleasant smile. He started introducing them.

"He is Araav Oberio. My childhood best friend." Rajveer said pointing at a tall, dark and handsome man.

"He is Dr Ansh Singhaniya and he is Dr Vihaan Rajput." he said introducing the other two good looking men of the group.

They all smiled at me and congratulated us. They gave us gifts and clicked picture with us.

After attending few guests my parents came to bless us. Mom tried to explain about their state of mind when all that happened. I just nodded and smiled at them as I can't argue with them.

Ruhi came on stage with a mic in her hand. She said "So its time for a surprise that I have planned for my lovely Bhai and Bhabhi." She is one of the sweetest person I have ever met. She brought a tray decorated with rose petals and it had two ring boxes on it.

What is her surprise? What is she going to do? She came towards us and said something to Rajveer.

He took a box opened it and took the ring in his hand. Suddenly he went down on his knees and raised the ring in front of me. I was shocked would be an understatement.

"Will you stay with me and love me forever" He said. His eyes hold some different kind of emotions. Everyone were admiring us.

I forwarded my hands towards him. He took my hand and was about to put it into my finger but there was already a ring in my that finger. It was my engagement ring that I forgot to remove. Quickly I took my hand away and removed that ring. How stupid of you Naina.... I again gave him my hand and he made me wear that ring but he looked quite sad. I really wanted to apologised to him. Even he made me wear the ring and everyone started to clap.

The event ended and we reached our room. Rajveer looked disturbed I was about to ask him but he said something that broke my heart.

"Naina don't take anything seriously that I said in the reception. I did it because Ruhi asked me to do it" He said and went to change taking his night clothes. I thought he said that because he liked me and wanted to spend his life with me. But I guess I was wrong.

He came out of the bathroom then I went to change. I came out and I saw him sleeping. Even I went on the bed and tried to sleep but sleep was far away from my eyes.

Rajveer's POV

I was really happy after meeting my friends but I was annoyed as soon as I saw Naina's parents. We meet them formally and then they left.

Ruhi came and told everyone that she has planned a surprise for both of us. She came towards me and said to me that I have to propose Naina. My happiness had no limit because that is the thing I wanted to do since I met her.

I went down on my knees to propose her but the moment I saw the ring in her finger all my excitement got over. I understood that it was her engagement ring. Does she still love Rahul? She removed that ring and we made each other wear the ring.

The moment we entered our room I said her that I didn't meant what I did at the reception and went to the change. I came out and directly went to sleep.

I woke up early and saw that Naina was still sleeping. I got ready and came in the hall. There I saw a boy and girl of around my age with their back facing towards me. They turned towards me and the boy was none other than Rahul Bhai. Seriously he had the guts to come here back. But who was the girl with him?
