Simple Sailor, Take Me Across
By: Anon

Simple sailor, tailors churn
Keel to drag, sails to turn
Seas rage, storms and thunder burn
Fool's quest, a fool's gold to earn

Up north, dark queen rises
Down south, threads loom in vices
Westward, horses gallop in success
Eastward, rumors quake in recess

Simple sailor, corpses lie in view
Keel to build, planks to skew
Skies quell, rain roars true
Fool's love, a fool's gift to you

Northeast, guardians answered
Southwest, beasts the land covered
Northwest, the bird in its nest cowered
Southeast, keys to behold, surrendered

Simple sailor, savior to see
Lives to hold, war rage or glee
Battles rage, rally unto the tree
Fool's move, a fool's choice to be

Simple sailor, simple souls we are
Deaths to whet, the afterlife sour
Lost love, lost hope, the island we scour
Fool's mission, a wise man's only pow'r
