Ch. 7 "New Teacher"

                                                           Jayden POV 

I was running down the hall, I don't know how I'm always late for class, I'm always here on time, I thought running down the hallways of the school, 

I round the corner quickly until I ran into someone, making me fall on my butt, 

I look up to see an unfamiliar man, 

"Whoa, you okay?' He asked 

"Um, Uh yeah," I said gathering my books, 

"Sorry," I said 

"It's alright but you really shouldn't be running," He said offering me his hand to help me up, 

I took it, 

"Yeah, I know, It's Just Mr. Grayson isn't gonna be happy with me," I said chuckling 

"He laughed, 

"Alaric Saltzman," He said 

"But you can call me Mr. Saltzman, I'm the new history teacher," He said 

"Oh, um Jayden Gilbert," I said 

He smiled, 

"Well Jayden do please be more careful," He said smiling at me, 

I nodded, 

With that I ran will speed walked to class, 

Later Me Jeremy, and Aunt Jenna are at the Grill sitting at a booth, 

"Can you help me with this one?" I asked Jeremy as I was looking at the math Problem, 

"It's negative 23," Jeremy said 

"You know that's not helping her if your just gonna give her the answer," Jenna said 

Jeremy shrugged, 

"I like a man who can dine alone, A quiet strength," Jenna said 

"I thought you were still in that whole Logan, depression thing?" I asked 

Jenna smiled 

"I've sworn off men forever, but it doesn't mean I can't observe them from a safe distance," Jenna said 

"Well, I can introduce you," Jeremy said 

"Have you picked a topic?" Jenna asked Jeremy 

"No, Not yet it's gotta be local, and non internet research, so.." Jeremy said 

"That's easy! you've got all your dad's stuff," Jenna said 

"What stuff?" Me and Jeremy both said 

"How the Gilbert's came over on the mayflower stuff, all that family lineage from way back, your dad really loved all that family history stuff, it's all boxed up in the closet," Jenna said 

Alaric approached us, 

"Mr. Saltzman," I said 

"Jayden, Jeremy, what's up?" Alaric said 

"This is our aunt Jenna," I said 

"Alaric shakes her hand, 

"Alaric Salesman it's nice to meet you," Alaric said 

"Jeremy was just telling me about his paper, thanks for giving him another chance," Jenna said 

"It was my first day, I wanted to make a good impression," Alaric said 

After That me and Jere decided to call it a day and head home, 

We walked, 

"You're awfully quiet," Jere said 

I nodded 

"My head is starting to hurt again," I mumbled 

"That's been happening a lot lately," Jere said 

I nodded, 

"Maybe you should see a Doctor," Jere said 

"No, it will pass," I said smiling at him sadly, 

We walked inside, 

"I'm just gonna go to bed Jere, goodnight," I said kissing him on the cheek, 

"Goodnight," He said sounding worried
