Zac didn't come into the Bar the following night, or even into Last words the next day. Sunday was my day off, so Maddie and I went out shopping and I got a couple new clothes for both of my jobs and some new lingerie not that anyone would be seeing it now. When I got home on Sunday, I let Emmett help me find a car. I couldn't be picky anymore. I ended up buying a white Mazda Hatchback that was in my price range, drove good and had a decent amount of kilometres and I drove home connecting my phone to the AUX and turning up my favourite songs, trying to drown out the thoughts of Zac leaving the Bar with another girl.

When I got home that night, I didn't even want to know what was happening. The house was quiet, and I cried myself to sleep, yet again, keeping a pillow over my head to try and block the noises I was imagining coming from his room.

Zac didn't come to Last Words or the Bar for the next day, and then the day after that, and the next and then for the next three weeks. We kept our distance and I think that was best.

The following week he came into the Bar every night, even the ones that I wasn't rostered on, according to Mia. He would get so unbearably drunk and just after last call, he would walk out with a new girl every time. Each time he followed a girl out, my heart sunk even more.
