I felt like I wanted to die,
But now I see things in a different light.
I know it's hard to see sometimes,
But there's a future that's bright.

Love can make you feel weak,
And it can tear you apart,
But it can also lift you up,
And heal a broken heart.

I'm not exaggerating when I say,
There's hope for a brighter day.
I'm starting to see things in a new way,
And I'm not alone on this journey, no way.

So if you're feeling down and low,
Please don't feel like you have to go it alone.
There are people who care, people who know,
And together we can make a new home.

It's okay to reach out for help,
To talk to someone who can relate.
It's a sign of strength to ask for help,
And take control of your own fate.

So please don't give up on yourself,
You have so much to offer this world.
You're stronger than you think, don't dwell,
And let your light shine, let it unfurl.

GENRE: INSPIRATIONAL

The poem "From Darkness to Light" is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is hope for a brighter future. It can be difficult to see a way out when we are overwhelmed by our emotions, but with the support of others and a determination to move forward, we can find the strength to overcome our struggles.

As an author, I hope that this poem brings comfort and inspiration to those who may be going through a difficult time. My intention is to remind readers that they are not alone, and that it's okay to ask for help when they need it. Together, we can overcome any obstacle and emerge stronger on the other side.

I also want to acknowledge the powerful message in Andra Day's song "Rise Up," which inspired me to write this poem. The song's message of perseverance and resilience is a testament to the strength of the human spirit, and I hope that this poem can serve as a reflection of that same spirit.
