"Scion. Let's go." Sovran interrupted my deep concentration. "Aren't you ready yet?" He leaned on the door while tapping his shoe.

"I'll be down after a minute" I looked at him and he left as soon as I told him. I miss Brazen. I haven't seen him for a day. I miss our arguments and fights and the way she kissed me like she's surrendering her everything.

I stood up and walked downstairs. Sovran and I were not just Veterinary Graduates. The fact is, we're here for a mission. We came in this place to investigate about drugs spreading illegally all over the country which are exported to some parts of Vietnam, Thailand, US and Europe. According to our chief, this area is the main source but we haven't found any factory even a single one.

"What's bothering you?" Sovran observed my silence.

"Ah... I'm bothered about Brazen's family. We didn't tell them about the reason why we're here."

"It's in the rule, Scion. At least we didn't lie to them. Being too honest may lead us to destruction. You know what happens if someone knew anything about our mission, right? That means they will only slow us down and the worst case is when they try to stop you." Sovran looked at me while he drives. He warns me to remember our protocols when we started to join the underground mission. Our best asset is our common sense. Do I even have some of those?

"Right. Wait, our Marlowe's calling. Hello? Are you there already? We'll be with you in thirty minutes. Keep yourself close to them. Be vigilant. Okay bye." I turned off the button.

"I think we're getting closer to end this case."

"I can sense that this will take us a year or more to be solved, Sovran. I know the head of this crime won't make it easy for us to catch them." I prepared my gun and hide it at my back. I grabbed my leather jacket from the passenger's seat. "It's getting cold." I put his jacket on his lap.

"What did the addict told you?"

"Hmm?" I glanced at him. What's he talking about?

"The addict you murdered in the mountain. He's the guard of those naked girls from the tent." He answered while wearing his jacket.

"Ah!" Yeah, now I remember what happened. "I didn't get any information so I just killed him. If he survived, the boss will kill me. Our organization will be exposed and everyone involved will die."

"Is that so? What did he tell you? Come on, I know there's more." His forehead wrinkles while he glanced at me and watched the way at the same time.

I shook my head. "He said that he'd rather die than to say anything and that he's dead anyway," I said what that disgusting and life wrecker said. That guy didn't die easily in my hands. We struggled for long before I had him surrendered. Unlike Brazen, she is more skilled and can make someone kneel down easily.

"I knew you did a hard job back there. If only you didn't cover his body with some leaves, Uncle Nick and Brazen might have surrendered you to the police."

"Yeah, you're right."
