Trial

I entered my chamber with Jandi beside me and Yabo on the door post then began moving up and down, I can't rest, resting itself makes me restless.

"Why isn't she coming?

"Is she going to come?

"What if she kills my brother herself?" I muttered to myself as I pace up and down in distress.

"Lady Nana, I've warmed up your bath." Jandi said in a calm voice but I know she's worried because it's written all over her face.

"Jandi, I have a lot on my mind and bathing is not even one of them so please leave me be, alright?, my brother's life is hanging on a very thin thread here." I said as I began to cry. Immediately Jandi starts to console me by telling me to take my bath and change my outfit in case the Empress later decides to come in and talk to me ..which actually make sense because if the Empress where to come in and meet me in this outfit, her anger might multiple which I don't want.

When Jandi began to assist me, I told her to take her own bath instead in my second bathroom since Yabo said no one can leave my chamber. 

After I finished taking my bath, I dressed myself in cotton casual wear and gave Jandi one of my previous clothes that I got when I wasn't the Empress since she refused any of my new collections even though it's simple and casual.

I waited and waited but still no sign of the Empress. I tried going outside to her chambers but Yabo won't allow me. I disturbed Yabo to the extent that she had to come in and lock the door from inside with a padlock then she drew my blinds down and begged me and Jandi to please sleep ..that the Empress needs some time to think things through.

I climbed my bed with the mindset of waking up very early then going to talk to the Empress but sleep won't come. I toss and toss and toss but I still couldn't sleep. I turn my eyes to the left side of my bed to know if Jandi is still awake like me or sleeping and she's asleep.

I wake up to someone calling my name.."Nana." And Immediately I got up from the bed thinking it's the Empress just to find out that it's Jandi.

I look around and find Yabo behind the blind looking out of patience.

"What's happening?"

I didn't even know when I slept off but now I know it was late, maybe even in the morning, like mid morning.

"Lady Nana, please get up ..I need to bathe and dress you. The Empress summoned all the elders and she asked Yabo to bring you to the throne immediately." Jandi said worriedly, I can even sense how scared she is from her voice ..no wonder why she's now dressed in her normal work outfit. I must have really been sleeping for a very long time and I am so hungry.

"I'm hungry Jandi." I said looking at Jandi who replied me by pointing at a food on my dining table that's beside my bed ..no wonder! I could swear I perceived that food but I thought I was still dreaming. I began walking to where the food is but Jandi stopped me with a pleading voice.

"Please Lady Nana, clean your teeth, bath and then eat ..please." She said sounding desperate and if she hadn't said anything I'm sure Yabo would have because from the look she was wearing before exiting the chamber, although not looking directly at me, I know she's in a tight position and she wanted me to hurry up.

I don't want to find out what fate they had already decided for my brother, I really don't ..hmm, but I guess the Empress is really really furious. Who knows what's going on in that head of her.
