Episode 19

Suraj and the team were reaching their cottage when they heard firing. He looked back and tears rolled down his cheeks.

'Don't worry. Nothing would happen to Joseph Bhai. We need to concentrate on what we have to do with all of them.' said Abbas.

As they reached the cottage, Shyam came outside and said that the mother is expected to deliver tonight.

'We have to take them to that family. Do not worry, the delivery would take place under our supervision and we won't allow their child to be taken away if she is a daughter.' promised Shyam.

Suraj nodded and Shyam along with Venkat and some of Joseph's men took the vehicle and proceeded towards the house. Meanwhile, they went inside and saw Sukumar and Siddhanta lying on the floor tied up. They made them sit on the chairs, and they removed the cloth from their mouth.

'Please do not kill us.' said Siddhanta in fear.

'What about the time when you killed us? You thought we would let you go like this. Listen, confess to all the illegal activities you have been doing for years in the village and I promise you we would leave everyone.' said Suraj.

No one spoke anything. Abbas came forward and landed a couple of punches on both. They spat out blood from their mouth. They were tough nuts to crack. They did not open their mouth. Abbas kept on hitting them. Swayam stopped him. Their face had swollen up. Blood was flowing across their face. Sukumar was breathing heavily. It seemed as if he was having a panic attack. Rohan splashed water on both their faces and gave them to drink. As they relaxed after some time, Suraj came ahead.

'There is no one out there to help you. It would be better if you confessed to all the crimes and the names of all those who are involved. We would not take it forward. We won't hand you all to the police. After confession, all you have to do is to resign from your post and not take part in any activities of the village. Do you agree to it?' asked Suraj.

After a moment of silence, Sukumar agreed to it.
