With blue veins pulsing madly on his forehead, Yu Yan grabbed his gun and shot one upwards, the sound ringing for a few seconds. A few timid passerbys couldn't help but clutch his head in useless protection.

"Can you all just shut up?" His low voice made everyone close their mouths. He glanced at the Nurdyk named Gazef that was about to open his mouth. "That includes you."

"Oh." Gazef obediently followed. This new-found wife is fierce. He likes it! It's a good thing to lay claim early! He gave him his Alpha core right then and there when they kissed. Remembering it, Gazef couldn't help but feel pleased at his fast thinking.

He's usually annoyed to be driven by his instincts, especially during his rut. However, he has never been so thankful of his instinct until it led him to surrender his Alpha core to the other person as he did earlier. With this, he has a vague feeling of the person's emotions and location.

Something like surrendering one's Alpha core was the first step of the Nurdyk royal family's unique mate marking. This allows them to mark even a Beta in order to continue the family blood line.

Unfortunately, Yu Yan wasn't aware. If he did, he might've shot his gun horizontally in front of him instead of vertically upwards.

"Gazef, was it? Let's not meet again."

Yu Yan flashed a professional smile before quickly leaving with a group of Trites following behind him. A few of them openly pointing their middle fingers to the man.

It doesn't matter if his Omega leaves. He'll know where he is anyway, so Gazef doesn't have any scruples with him leaving.

Isn't it just wife chasing?

When they were left alone, Gazef's adjutant and life attendant since childhood almost knelt on the ground then and there. Nobody could describe how agitated he felt having offended one of the Trites' people! And he heard it was their Captain's child! What are they going to do when their Captain suddenly decides to chase after them for revenge?! They have the royal palace chasing after them, and now, the Trites too—can he please have a break?!

Looking at Prince that didn't have a single trace of regret on his face, Mihai felt resigned.

"Please tell me in advance if your wish is too end our lives. I can at least adopt a kid and leave him my last will and testament", Mihai dully said.

Although the person he was talking to was the Prince of the previous Nurdyk empire, Mihai had grown up with Gazef and had attended to his every need ever since he was five. He was more or less like an naggy older brother.

"Yu Yan", Gazef muttered.

"You, what?"

"That person's name seems to be Yu Yan."

"That person?"

"Yes. My fated pair."

If it weren't for the fact that Yu Yan was his fated pair, he wouldn't have ever thought that the person was actually Nurdyk, and an extremely rare male Omega. Gazef was slightly bothered about the other person's lack of pheromones, but contemplating to himself while habitually ignoring Mihai's nagging, he thought maybe it's because he's not purely Nurdyk.

"Are you even listening? Gazef, answer me, what fated pair - "

"The Trites' Captain is Alhoshian?"

"Uh?" Mihai was slightly thrown off by the change in topic, but his responsible assistant self had a prepared answer either way. "Yes, he is. Captain Nyx, said to be the leader of the Triton Nebula Pirates. I didn't know he had a son until today. That's why, how is that person even you're fated pair? It's impossible!"
