kira pov:

"hurry mother they're after us!" mr.beaver shouts "ouh right then" "what's she doing?" i ask

"you'll be thanking me later,its a long journey and beaver gets pretty cranky when he's hungry" "i'm cranky now!" he shouts "take them" i hear a voice outside say,using my enhanced ears

"they're coming" i say "do you think we'll need jam?" susan asks and i give her a questioning glance

 "only if the witch serves toast"me and peter joke,we look at each other and smile despite the current situation.

but we stopped when we heard growls outside and then we heard wood breaking "hurry" "follow us dears" mrs.beaver says leading us through a door that led into a tunnel.

"badger and me dug this,comes out right near his place" "you told me it led to your mum's" mrs.beaver said

lucy tripped but i quickly grabbed her before she smacked the floor "come on lucy" i whisper to her

i heard barking not far behind us "they're in the tunnel" she whispers "run!" peter shouts

we keep running until we hit a dead end "you should have brought a map!" mrs.beaver tells her husband

"there wasnt room next to the jam!" if it was a different situation, i would have laughed.

we turn back and i grab peters hand pulling him with me,we eventually get to the door that leads out of the tunnel,

i let all the siblings go first,knowing if something happened i could defend myself,or atleast give them more time to escape,one by one the beavers went up,

then lucy,susan,peter and now me,i saw a hand in front of me and grabbed it,peter hoisted me up and we pushed the barrel to barricade the way

i heard a grunt and saw lucy tripped over stones-no not stones animals that were turned into stones

"i'm so sorry dear" mrs.beaver whispered "he was my best mate" "what happened here?" peter asked

"this is what becomes of those who cross the witch" a new voice spoke and peter shoved me behind him,along with the rest of this family 

"you take one more step traitor and ill chew you to splinters!" mrs.beaver held back mr.beaver back 

"relax,i'm one of the good guys" the fox said "yeah?well you look an awful lot like one of the bad ones"

"an unfortunate family resemblance. but we can argue breeding later right now we've got to move" we hear the wolves approaching

"what did you have in mind?" peter asked the fox gestured his head up the tree,i sighed 'up we go'

the wolves busted through the barrel "greetings gents,lost something have we?"

"don't patronize me" the same voice from earlier said,that must be maugrim "i know where your allegiance lies we're looking for some humans"

"humans? here in narnia? now thats a valuable bit of information don't you think?"

a wolf jumps and clamps its jaw onto the fox,lucy gasps and peter immediately covers her mouth
