The First Move (2)

Hange couldn't go home. Why you ask? Well she didn't know either. There's something in her that make her feel kind of uncomfortable to budge in Erwin's business but there's another part of her that wants to see it herself.

As her mind went blank, her eyes unconsciously tracked Erwin's behavior as soon as they arrived at the meeting room. She locked her eyes into his blond hair, slowly into his face, trying to read an expression out of him. He neither look shy nor excited, his face was.. well the same kind of expression he showed her every day. She didn't came in the room, she just peaked her head into the room silently. But as she expected Erwin caught her.

"It's called a 'private meeting' for a reason..."Erwin said as he sighed looking at the brown haired nerd.

"I- I know that. Ok I guess.. I'll.." Hange tried hiding her own confusion, Erwin shook his head slightly laughing at his friend's weird attitude.

"umm.. yup see you tomorrow..." Hange said waving.

"Take care." Erwin answered.

Hange closed the door as she stepped out, but just before she went far she turned her head again to see the wooden door. She held her bag tight with her palms, her eyes still staring at the same door that she closed. She shook her head.

Ugh, what's wrong with me... Stop that!

Hange lightly pinch her own cheek then turned her head away from the door. But as she did that her mind went back to her conversation with Erwin.

That idiot, I'm just worried if he got his heart broken after this. She thought, still pinching her cheek unconsciously.

She stood there for minutes still unconsciously pinching her cheek, until she felt a strong hand took her arms.

"Oi." The raven haired boy was standing infront of her with the same attitude and tone as always.

"Oh hi Levi!" Surprised by the usual intimidating tone, Hange greeted.

"What are you think you're doing, your face is red now, idiot." He said staring at Hange's cheek.

"Oh. Yeah. About that." Hange took her hands from Levi and rubbed her cheek.

The boy stared at Hange's expression, trying to get something out of it. Something's wrong, at least that's what he thought by examining her.

"Tch, whatever. Let's go." He said as turned and began to walk.

"Go? Go where?" Hange asked, confused. Levi gave her the 'are-you-kidding-me' stare and sighed.

"Home ofcourse, or do you plan to  camp at school for tonight?" Levi asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Oh. Right.."

"C'mon I'll take you home." The raven haired boy said giving a small sign with his head pointing the school gates.

Hange bit the edge of her lips.

"On second thought.. I.. I have a business to talk with Ms. Faustine." Hang said, there's a weird tone in the way she talked. Levi raised his eyebrow, obviously knew it was a lie.

Levi sighed.

"Fine.  I'll see you then." He said turning away from the girl.

With uncertainty, Hange walked away from Levi to the nearest staircase and hid. After checking that Levi had gone, she walked back to the meeting room. Her hand stopped as soon as she reached the door knob. She bit her lip, unsure of her decision. Even if she's close to Erwin, she knew that wasn't right to budge in his personal business. But she couldn't hold it, something in her told her that she needed to go into that room and convince Erwin to drawback and try it another day.
