River couldn't contain her happiness as she sat on the stairs, waiting for Grace to come and help her bring her drinks to the Garrison. Tommy had left earlier in the day, laying a kiss to the woman's forehead before telling her he'd send Grace down to help her.

A knock on her door caused the woman to stand from the stairs, gliding over to the door and pulling it open. Her smile faded ever so slightly seeing her father instead of the woman who was meant to be there.

"Dad, you alright?" The woman spoke, noticing his panicked expression hat set on his face.

"That- that barmaid, I don't trust her. I heard her speaking on the phone about some of the things the boys are doing soon."

River furrowed her eyebrows, glancing behind the man into the street before tugging him inside, closing the door with a force that made the house rumble.

"What are you saying?" She questioned before the realisation hit her, "You don't think she's the- oh, it makes so much sense now."

Daryl gave his daughter a confused look causing her to sigh, glancing down at her hands as she spoke, "She was following this man when she first came 'ere, and me being me, I followed her and one thing led to another and we killed 'im."

Daryl nodded at his daughter completely fine with what she had said as he stormed around the house, trying to find his cigarettes only to see the bottles sitting on top of the kitchen table, his movements ceasing as he turned his head to look at his daughter.

"What's this doing out?" He grumbled, hand grabbing the lemonade bottle. He shook it slightly causing the woman to huff out, moving over to him.

Tugging it out of his hand, River placed it gently down before grabbing the folded up piece of paper on the table, turning back and handing him it, "I'm selling it down the Garrison."

Daryl raised an eyebrow, his eyes glistening ever so slightly as he gazed upon his daughter. He tugged her into him, hugging her tightly to his chest, rocking them ever so slightly.

"'M so proud of you."

River gave her father a bright smile as she tugged herself away from him, another knock on the door causing the woman to turn her head. Glaring at the door, River huffed out, grabbing the bottles of drinks.

"That's Grace now, I'll get what I can out of her." Daryl nodded at his daughter's words, his hand rubbing the top of her head causing her to groan.

Eventually, the man allowed her to leave the house without him confronting the woman on the other side of the door, the last words he murmured to her being, "Don't turn your back to 'er."
