"SO, WELCOME TO MY own personal hell" Riley says as a way of introducing Jess to the school
"Huh, It's got a nice ring to it" Jess says as they walked through the hallway
"please tell me you still want to dye your hair red" Riley's best friend Maddy says to her as a way of greeting, making Jess look at her with a weird expression on his face, Riley suppressed her laughter and then Maddy noticed Jess beside Riley "whose this?"
"Ah, right, Maddy this is Jess, his Luke's nephew, Jess this is my best friend Maddy" Riley introduces and Jess awkwardly nods his head at Maddy, very clear that he was uncomfortable with introductions with strangers
"Oh that makes sense" Maddy says taking Jess in and Jess went back to looking at Maddy weirdly again
"What's that suppose to mean?" Jess asks looking over at Riley who was trying not to laugh
"It means that Maddy thinks Luke's hot" Riley answers laughing and Jess gapes disgustingly at Maddy
"I don't think he's hot, i just think for his age he looks pretty good, in a grumpy greasy kind of way" Maddy says as a way of explaining
"And that's my cue to leave" Jess says walking away not being able to take any more of this conversation and Riley couldn't contain her laughter
"You didn't have to tell him that i find Luke attractive" Maddy exclaims playfully hitting Riley's arm
"I know, but i wanted to see his reaction and it was so worth it" Riley says with a smile
"He's kinda cute" Maddy then says nudging Riley who was rolling her eyes "what you don't think so? you two were clearly hitting it off and he's obviously you're type"
Riley side eyes Maddy "Jess is not my type!"
"Someone seems a little defensive" Maddy cooes jokingly, poking at Riley's side
"You just met him, how could you possibly know he was my type, i don't even think i have a type" Riley argues
"I just got a vibe" Maddy says with a shrug making Riley groan
"Don't say vibe, you know how much i hate it when you say vibe, Jess and I don't have a vibe"
Maddy laughs "okay, okay not a vibe, but obvious chemistry, he seems to like you"
"By like, i think you mean he likes to annoy me, then sure" Riley adds as they made their way to their lockers but it was intercepted by her ex boyfriend Sam "what do you want, Sam?"
