RILEY TRIED TO ACT normal once she got home, after everything that had just happened. Her and Jess kissed. And now they were dating. Well, fake dating. She was confused about the kiss. Was it real or not? It was a good kiss. A really good kiss. She wanted to tell someone, her mum, Rory or Maddy. But she had to agree with Jess, the less people who knew about their arrangement, the better.
That didn't change the fact that Riley was confused on how she currently felt about Jess.
"So, uh is there anything you wanna tell me?" Lorelai asks Riley suspiciously once she got home
"None that i can think of" Riley replies back casually taking off her jacket. She avoided any eye contact with her mum, which only furthered her mum's suspicions
"So, you weren't just making out with Jess at the diner before?" Lorelai raises her eyebrow and Riley's gives her a mum a questioning look
"First of all, we weren't making out, he was just, you know kissing my neck" Riley says awkwardly while Lorelai stares at her
"Oh, cause its so normal for Jess to be kissing your neck!"
"How do you even know about this? theres no way Luke had come here and back to the diner before i came home-" Riley starts
"Luke didn't tell me. It was Babette" Lorelai indicates to her and she paused waiting to see if Riley was going to confess. She wasn't going to, not until she fully heard how her mum knew about all of this "She saw you two at the diner and came running here when she saw you two go upstairs, which we will come to later, don't think i won't remember. So, uh you wanna tell me what's going on between you and Jess"
"Jess and i are dating" Riley directly tells
"How long have you been together?" Lorelai then asks, there was no tone in her voice which was starting to freak Riley out
Riley realised that it was possible that her mum was mad at her for not telling her about her and Jess "for about a week now"
"And you didn't think to tell me? does Rory know about this?"
Riley shakes her head "no one knew, we didn't want to anyone to know straight away to see if it works and Jess kinda got carried away today and forgot"
Lorelai nods her head, still eyeing Riley intently "Okay, that makes sense"
"What makes sense?" Riley asks her
"You and Jess" She says and nothing else
"What's that suppose to mean? Jess and i make sense?" Riley asks her anxiously
