Luka was anxiously bouncing his leg as he sat in the car (Y/N) had sent for him, saying it was too late at night for him to bike all the way to see them. The driver very graciously had the divider up, leaving Luka to be alone as he wondered what they possibly could have seen in the vision, or if it was about a vision at all. What if something else had happened? Did they get hurt? A nightmare? Did someone do something?

The boy practically flee out of the car when it finally pulled up to the front of the house, and he made a beeline for the stairs before Owen or Milo, who were still up watching TV, could ask him anything. The two looked at eachother in confusion, Luka never came over this late and he always said hi before (Y/N) dragged him off.

"Ah," Owen groaned "They're at that age where they're beginning to sneak around, keep secrets," he took a sip from his wine "I can't decide if I should stop it and be hypocrite or let them be."

Milo nodded, they were both very clearly drunk "right because if your parents knew half the things you did in high school they would have a heart attack."

"I did you in highschool," Owen giggled, his drunken haze making him much more honest than he would normally be.

Milo's face just flushed "That's not relevant right now," Milo tried to hide his smile when Owen started peppering his face with kisses "we can't just be the cool parents, you know. (Y/N) should absolutely have fun- but don't you think we should..make more of an effort?" Milo asked "You're their legal guardian, you're the closest thing to a parent they have anymore. I don't wanna tell you how to do it, but we're gone a lot and I'm sure it gets lonely sometimes."

"You're right," Owen says "I'm just not sure how. Their mom was always great with making everyone feel included when she wanted to, I just don't want to try and replace them."

"You don't have to replace them, but you should talk to them more. Throwing money at them won't change what happened."

Owen sighed, "maybe we can invite (Y/N) to some wedding planning stuff? Make them feel included? They're going to be part of our little family, and they'll be the best big sibling any of our future kids could ask for." Owen laughed, smiling at the thought.

"That's a good start, maybe we can invite Luka too so they're not bored watching us pick fabrics." Milo nodded, "it's been over a year since everything happened, but it's never too late to make an effort."

Luka knocked on the door before opening up the attic access, climbing up and rushing to pull a now sobbing (Y/N) into his arms. "Darling, what happened?" He gently ran his fingers through their hair as he whispered soothing words into their ear.

(Y/N) tried to answer but they couldn't get the words out, their heart was racing a mile a minute and it was hard to get any air into their lungs. Luka's hands helped, giving them something to focus on, but words refused to form.

"Don't worry about answering right now, just breathe." Luka whispered, slowly rocking them back and forth "in and out, with me" Luka instructed as he took big, deep breaths as (Y/N) breathed with him. "You're doing wonderful, love, just focus on the air going in and out, that's all you need to do."

After a few minutes of silence, the only noise being the two breathing together, (Y/N) was finally breathing normally and their heart returned to a stable rhythm. Asra had long since disappeared back into the bracelet, fearful of Luka's reaction to the incoming news.

"I'm not really sure out to start, it's been...kind of a really bad night. I didn't even realize how late it was until after I called you- I'm sorry I woke you up."
